Let me ask you something: When someone says "a break from us" is that saying "We were on a break?"
It's the question that has plagued people since that infamous Friends episode where Rachel talks about taking a break as a way of breaking up and says, "No...a break from us." And we all know that Ross translates it as "We're going on hiatus," hence starting that "We were on a break" nonsense.
But Ross was very possessive and freaked out about a guy Rachel was working with getting too close even though it was nothing more than a professional relationship. Personally, I think that Rachel was saying "I can't deal with this jealousy and bullshit, Ross so I want a break away from this relationship." Basically, a way of saying "It's over."
I am now discovering this dilemma in my own life. Here's the story: My boyfriend Andy and I were legit broken up and got back together. During our time apart, I spent a ton of time with my best friend Rob who is pretty damn awesome. He's been the biggest support in my life after a few heartbreaking moments and we may have kissed a couple of times. We have admitted to having a crush on one another but nothing much has happened because we were unsure if it would work or not.
Andy heard from his friends about us hanging out at Dave & Buster's with our friends one night, he is not pleased and he just sent me a shitload of texts.
