"Leaving?"
The shock and pain in Blake's voice made Jason wince. Blake's cat ears flattened against her head.
"Look"
Jason said, looking directly at her "I really don't have much of a choice."
Blake o of pened her mouth as if to say something but then closed it again.
"It's not that I don't want to stay, I really do, it's just what it would mean for you and the rest of your team. One of the reasons I joined your group, apart from stopping Salem, was to get revenge on Adam for what he did to me... to all of us."
Jason ran his hand along the faint white scar that ran across his left cheek and down to his jaw as his cat ears twitched. There was a brief silence
"Well, you certainly got your revenge." Blake said, a hint of pride now in her voice.
"But why would you have to leave?"
Jason sighed as he leaned on the balcony, looking off into the night for a moment before he finally replied.
"Now we know that Salem is hunting me. It's why we've had so much more trouble with grimm since she found out I was with your group. The longer I'm here, the more danger you and your team are in. If I leave now, you'll all be in a lot less danger."
Blake looked away. On the one hand, she was really enjoying having him around. However she could also see the logic in what he said.
Jason sighed and his shoulders slumped as he stood next to her.
"I'll miss you Blake." She nodded silently before she spoke.
"I'll miss you too, but something tells me we will see each other again soon."
Jason nodded and smiled slightly .
Blake fidgeted slightly before she calmly reached into her jacket pocket and brought out one of the ribbons that normally wrapped around her hand when she used Gambol Shroud. Since the weapon had been destroyed, she might as well find another use for the ribbon.
Blake reached out and tied it around Jason's right forearm.
Jason grinned. Blake smiled and, leaning in closer, kissed him softly. Jason held the kiss lightly for several seconds before pulling away.
"I'll contact you as soon as I can."
He said quietly before, sword on his back, he walked out into the night.
