Talia sat on the back steps of the castle, looking out into the large garden. She smiled as a warm breeze blew through the area. She turned the sheath over and over in her hands. Her and Jason had decided not to put it in its place of honor until their father got home the next day– it just felt like something they should be doing as a family.
She heard footsteps on the stone behind her and turned slightly as Yang came to sit down beside her. Talia greeted yang with a smile.
"What's up?"
She asked, putting an arm around Yang's shoulders.
The blonde smiled.
"Just came out here to enjoy the fresh air. How about you?"
"I promised I'd watch Jason practice his new ability. You know, incase something were to go wrong. His use of the Guardian's abilities has been growing ever since he and Blake got back from that island."
Yang nodded, looking around.
"Where is he anyway."
A slight smile playing across her face, Talia pointed upwards at the sky, where a hawk was circling in the breeze.
Yang raised her eyebrows.
"No way."
As if on cue, the hawk dove out of the sky to land on the grass in front of them. Then, there was a flash of blue light. When it cleared, the hawk was gone, and Jason was lying on his back in the grass.
He stood up. His hair was windswept and the fur on his cat ears was slightly ruffled, but he was smiling.
He brushed some dust off his jacket as he walked over to Talia and Yang.
Yang stared at him wide-eyed,
"When did you learn to do that."
Jason sat down and took off his jacket before he answered.
"From... from a dream I had last night. More of a "vision" then a dream I guess."
Yang nodded as as blake exited the castle.
"So,"
Blake said, sitting down next to Jason,
"What do you think is going to happen when we unlock... whatever it is that the weapons unlock."
The other three all shrugged.
"Given all of the stuff that's happened in the last few months, it could be anything."
They were all silent for a moment, listening to the sounds of the wind in the trees and the birds in the sky.
It was Yang who broke the silence.
"Sometimes, just looking at how peaceful things are here, it's easy to forget how bad things are getting in the real world."
Jason nodded.
"I know what you mean. But I've got a feeling that soon it will be time for us to take the fight to Salem."
