I'm watching Doctor Who on Netflix and I'm on season 4 episode 3. The end of episode 2 had me all like 😱😱😱😱😱😱. PLOT TWIST!!!
Sorry. I'm done.
~~~~~~~~~~~~It was daylight. I had been stuck in that memory for hours.
A loud grinding noise from behind brings me out of my stupor, causing me to jump up.
The doors were opening.
"Y/N!" A voice, belonging to none other than Minho, appears behind me. "Didn't think that you were this excited to start running. You've still got a few hours before your training starts."
"Yeah.... I'll see you later," I mumbled, having completely forgotten about training. "I'm going to go get some breakfast."
Minho nodded in response and stared down the dark corridor as I retreated, leaning heavily on his crutch.
~~~~~~~~~~
As I stepped out of the kitchen, everything looked like a normal day in the Glade. People were milling around, going about their usual business.But I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. I needed to see Thomas. As much as the thought terrified me, it might help us figure out what happened with him and Gally.
I took off, full sprint, towards the Slammer. My first guess of where Thomas might be.
The Slammer was the only building in the Glade that was built completely out of cement. It was as if the people who put us here knew that we would need it. Not even the bathhouse had a hint of cement in it.
"Did you bring any food? I'm starving," Thomas's voice came out of the cement structure.
A pang of guilt hit my stomach, "no," I said. "I came to ask you something."
"What does the girl who stabbed me want to know?" Thomas stuck his head between the bars, sarcasm dripping from every word.
"Tell me what you remember from the second you stepped into the woods until you stepped out of them," I explained in a hurried tone.
"I told you to follow me, which you did," Thomas began smirking with confidence. "Once we got deep into the woods you asked me again what I remembered. I-"
He stopped. Staring at me with a confused look on his face.
"You don't remember anything from then until you got out of the woods, do you?" It was my turn to smirk.
I turned and walked away, leaving him behind as he begged for me to let him out.
"Please, get me out of here!" He begged. "I don't even remember what I did!"
I kept my face forward and never looked back, still smirking as his voice began to die down.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I had just set out to find Minho after lunch training was about to start and I was freaking out.
"Breathe, just breathe," I whispered to myself as I wandered around the Glade, searching for Minho.
I had just spotted him and had begun to jog over to him when a familiar feeling spread throughout my fingers. It was the same feeling I had last night.
"M-" I gasped before everything went dark.
I was standing in the room that I had been in the first time, a girl was standing beside a version of me that couldn't have been older than 12. She had a hand over her mouth as she stared at a screen.
"We did it," she mumbled in disbelief. "Y/N, did we do the right thing?"
"I don't know Teresa," the younger me replied. She too stared at the screen in disbelief.
As if a switch were flipped, the face of the girl be an completely clear. I knew her. She was the girl in the first two memories.
A woman stepped out of the shadows, "you must remember. WICKED is good."
Her voice echoed in my mind as I was pulled out of the memory. Minho stood inches from me, his hands were wrapped firmly around my arms as he looked around frantically.
"Y/N! Are you okay?" He shook me, causing my brain to rattle around in my head.
"'WICKED is good'?" I repeated to myself.
"What-" Minho began to ask.
He was cut off by a loud blaring alarm.
The Greenie alarm.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~DUH DUH DUUUUUUHHHHHHH
sorry couldn't help myself there. I'm guessing you already know what is going to happen in the next chapter. It is kind of obvious but I'm changing the book a little bit.
Really really reeeeaaaaaalllllllllyyyyyyy short chapter compared to the last one. We got about a foot and a half of snow on Sunday so, obviously, I had the day off today, but most of the day I spent watching doctor who and getting pulled around my yard behind a four wheeler.
I didn't spend very much time on this chapter, the quality of it is probably really sucky.
Thanks for being amazing😘😘😘 ~Caelyn
