It's the weekend!!!!! Thank God. I've got bruises up and down my legs from basketball and I'm exhausted. The weekend is definitely a relief.

Ok so I'm trying to update as fast as possible but I still have a bit of writers block. I know where I want to go with this chapter and the next few chapters but I don't exactly know how to get there.

Sorry for the quality of this chapter it's pretty sucky but I tried and I'll try to get another one up soon.

The crowd around the watchtower had grown to twice its size by the time I pushed to someone I knew.

"why's everyone crowding around the shuck watchtower?" I whispered to Chuck who was staring up at the top.

Chuck jumped and, "shank," he muttered under his breath.

"Whys everyone crowding the shuck watchtower?" I repeated.

"Greenie refuses to come down. Newt and Alby are up there right now, trying to convince him to come down," Chuck smiled to himself as he spoke, likely imagining what the two boys are doing to try to get Thomas down from there.

I patted Chuck's shoulder and pushed my way to the front of the crowd, "out of my way!" I yelled. "I have to give the Greenie the tour!"

A few people snickered as I yelled and they received a very discreet punch in the arm as I passed by them.

As I reached the ladder, I turned around and glared at everyone that I could see. I stepped up carefully, relying solely on my left hand to hold on. My right hand was still of no use, wrapped up in the gauze enough for my hand to look like a huge ball of dirty white cloth.

I could feel all of their eyes on me, boring holes into me, judging me for being able to go up when others couldn't. Thinking that I have special privileges because I'm a girl.

The top of the watchtower was much higher up than it looked from the ground. Thin, rickety railings ran around the perimeter of the twenty-foot square.

Newt and Alby were already attempting to convince the Greenie to come down, their backs facing away from me.

"I'm here," I whispered.

Both of them jumped, startled at my silent appearance. Newt stared at me with wide eyes that my heart skip a beat but also make me smirk internally.

"I'm supposed to give the shank the tour, I'll find a way to get him down," I shrugged i between the two of them and faced the Greenie.

Thomas looked close to paralyzed with fear, his deep brown eyes wide. He was subtly shaking.

I turned to face Newt and Alby and nodded for them to go. Alby almost sprinted down immediately, probably hating the height. But, Newt lingered for a second, asking with his eyes if I was sure.

"Go," I whispered and he slowly turned, never taking his eyes away from me until his head disappeared from the platform.

I turned to Thomas, "my name is Y/N."

He relaxed and leaned against one of the supports of the railing.

"Where am I?" He asked in a nervous voice.

"You're in the Glade."

"Why are you the only girl here?"

I looked around, trying to come up with some form of reason why.

"I have no idea why I am the only shuck girl here," my voice getting dangerously close to cracking.

I looked over at Thomas. He couldn't have been much older than me, probably close to 16. He looked familiar, just like the girl in my dream had been.

Tears began to well up in my eyes, threatening to spill over.

I sucked in a deep breath, forcing the tears down, "I'm supposed to give you a tour of the shuck place Greenie. Come on."

I stood and walked over to the ladder, turning to see if Thomas had followed me.

He hadn't moved from his spot, "you coming?"

Something in his eyes shifted. I had only seen that look in someone's eyes one before, it was a look of remembrance.

"I know you," Thomas said, almost like he was in a trance. He blinked twice and stared at me. "I knew you before this. Why can't I remember everything?"

He grabbed his head, pulling his hair out of frustration.

"I can explain it to you, but only if you come with me," I tried to convince him.

Thomas looked at me with pleading in his eyes, willing to do anything to figure out the truth.

He nodded and stood, following me down the ladder and away from the watchtower.
