What did you think of the last chapter? I took a bit from the death cure that I will explain later in the fanfic if you don't already know what I'm talking about.
I think I'm going to bring Teresa into the fanfic in the next chapter.
I know that some people like me updating fast so I'm warning you that I can't update that fast during the week because I have basketball, dance, and softball.
That's all I have to say for now! Enjoy!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Alby walked into my room with a strange expression on his face.
"The Greenie is going to be fine and I already heard his part of the story, but I still need to hear yours."
I nodded and recounted everything that had happened, as I had done for Newt and Minho only minutes earlier. But, this time, I threw much more detail in, embellishing the story until it was clear that was happening.
"Why did you follow him into the woods in the first place?" He asked, confused.
I took a deep breath and thought of a way to explain without having to tell him about my dreams.
"Right before I took him on the tour, the Greenie stared at me and said that he knew me from sonewhere, he said that he couldn't remember where he remembered me from. I wanted to know what else he remembered," I explained, only realizing my stupidity of following him at the end.
Alby looked around and sighed, thinking over the information.
"What is my punishment?" I asked bravely, not wanting to show my fear.
My body was numb, nerves rendering my legs and arms useless. I sat there, on my bed, waiting for Alby's final verdict.
"A night in the pit. That's for cutting him. But, you get to keep the knife on you, it just can't be hidden in your boot. I heard about what happened the last time."
My eyes widened, "why aren't you keeping me from being a runner or making me spend a week in the pit?"
My brain spun in circles, something was missing from this equation.
"We heard the screams and they were way too high pitched to be his. Defending yourself won't get you banished. Attacking someone will."
A lump formed in my throat, "did you banish Gally?"
He shook his head and walked out leaving me with my horrible thoughts.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
By the time that the hour passed, I was outside and walking in the direction of the woods.
"I'm here," I whispered as I stepped behind the first line of trees.
Nothing happened and I stood there, stupidly waiting for someone who would never come.
My mind began messing with my head, forcing me to imagine horrible things. Horrible scenarios of the life outside the maze, a burned Earth covered in people fight brutally to live.
I forged deeper into the woods, pushing those thoughts out of my mind and trying to understand what happened to Thomas earlier today.
My mind raced. There was only a few options of what could've happened, he could've remembered something in a split second that made him hate me, he could've gone insane for a few seconds, though that doesn't seem likely, or he could've been controlled.
Even if one of options was what really happened, then the real question was 'Who?' Who put us here? Why were they suddenly allowing a select few of us to remember certain things?
