I'm going to skip the big long authors note and go ahead and start writing because I will probably have one at the end.
~~~~~~~~~~~~Gladers came pouring in from every direction, all of them headed in the direction of the Box.
"We shouldn't be getting another shucking Greenie," I whispered to myself.
I followed the stream of Glader's to the Box. I need to see him come up this time. I need, no, not need, want, to see the look on his face when he first sees this place. I need to know more.
My brain screamed to know more and an another early Greenie would mean that I was one step closer to finding this whole mess out.
"It's coming up!" Hushed whispers echoed everywhere, the same words repeated from. Every. Single. Person.
I shoved and pushed my way to the front, getting my hair pulled multiple times in the process. I reached the front just in time to see the metal doors that covered the Box open.
I stepped even closer to the edge of the hole, wanting to see the newbie.
At first it was just a light, slowly growing brighter and brighter, until the outlines of the all to familiar Box came into view.
The Box reached the top with a sudden jolt that forced me to reach to my forehead, feeling the remains of the cut that I acquired on my first day here. Strange, I thought. No one even took a second look at my forehead when they saw the cut. It must be normal.
There was a loud screeching noise and the Box began to open. My stomach lurched with excitement. From where I was standing, I couldn't see the Greenies face, only their feet, which had on boots that looked similar to mine.
There was a gasp, "another girl?" A stray Glader called out.
I forced my way around the edge of the Box. I needed to see her face.
My hand flew to my mouth at first sight of her. She had long, brown hair that was spread around her head in a halo-like way, but that wasn't the reason why I was taken so aback. It was her face.
"Teresa," I whispered. "Her name is Teresa."
I looked at the girl, who seemed to be sleeping so peacefully. Would she remember me? Or, would she be exactly like everyone else and leave me alone, forced to live with my memories while no one else knew a thing about their past?
Just then, she shot up. Gulping great breaths of air.
"Y/N, Newt, Thomas," her eyes rolled back in her head and she slumped back on the cool metal floor.
The whole place went into uproar, everyone either yelling in confusion or staring at me, Thomas, or Newt. I wanted to stay away, to run from all of my problems as I always had, but the same thing that pulled me towards the doors pulled me toward Teresa.
You need to keep her safe, at any cost. I flinched. It wasn't my own voice in my head that time. Instead, it was a harsh, cold voice scratching through my brain.
A familiar feeling began to come over me, I knew I only had seconds before I would be pulled into a memory again.
"Her name is Teresa!" I yelled over the voices.
And then I blacked out.
I'm evil aren't I? I finally got the fanfic back on track and we are rolling ahead full steam. The next chapter will be mostly memories and that stuff but I might get a little fluff in the end. I don't know what will exactly know, but only time will tell.
TGITW. (Thank God it's the weekend for those of you who didn't get it)
I will probably get another chapter up this weekend, but I can promise you that I won't get any up during the week because I have around eight basketball games, a dance rehearsal, basketball practice, and softball practice. I will probably also have a ton of homework because I missed a couple of classes and I will be missing RaFT (Raider Focus Time, it's practically home room) one of the days so that the girls basketball teams can decorate the varsity players lockers.
All in all, my week is even more insane than it usually is so I won't get any writing done.
I think I have a longer authors note right now than the chapter, so I'll leave you alone. ~Caelyn
Running From Your Problems (a Newt/ Maze Runner fanfic)
FanfictionOk. So this is my first fanfic and I probably won't do a good job on it, but it is worth a try. (y/n) your name. (Btw: I am horrible with titles) You wake up in the box, completely disoriented with no idea where you are or why you are there. When...
