Like I said earlier, I have basketball every day of the week right after school so that takes up most of my time to update. On the weekends I will probably get more updates in just because I don't have basketball then.

For those of you who have been reading the authors note, I have good news about basketball! I know that you might not really care. But I made the A team!!!!!! I'm really happy because during volleyball season I was the last cut from the A team and the last to be put on the B team, so it feels really good to be on the A team.

I don't have anything else to say, so here is Chapter 24.

The longer we stood there, the more relaxed I felt. I didn't want to let go of him and I didn't have to. So I just stood there, breathing in his scent. He smelled like freshly cut grass.

The pounding in my head had almost completely gone by now.

"I need to go to bed," I whispered, my voice muffled.

"Goodnight," Newt whispered and started to pull away.

"Goodnight," I whispered and slipped into my bedroom, locking the door behind me.

I stood there, my back against the wood of the door holding my face in my hands.

"I can't believe that just happened," I murmured to myself. "Breathe." I whispered, starting to hyperventilate. "breathe."

Adrenaline was pumping through my body and the urge I'd had only minutes ago to sleep and only sleep was gone. Replaced by a want to run or climb or jump as high as possible, anything but lay still until I fell asleep.

I stood there for minutes on end, trying to get my head on straight. My bed became more and more enticing as the adrenaline seeped out of my body.

My eyelids dropped and I allowed the gravity that was coming from my bed pull me in and greet me in its warm and comfortable arms.

It took only seconds before I was gone.

I awoke the next morning to nothing. No one knocking on my door to tell me to get up. No one shaking me awake with a hurried tone in their voice. Not even the voices of people below my bedroom.

I was supposed to be taking Thomas for the tour today, wasn't I? If I was, then why hadn't someone come to get me yet?

My legs begged for me to stretch them and walk around.

I eventually pulled myself out of my comfortable bed and dragged myself down the stairs to the main room of Homestead where a few people were milling about, doing whatever their jobs required for them to do.

"Where's the Greenie?" I asked the nearest person.

"Probably with Chuck, those two are like best friends," he said turning around to face me.

"Thanks," I muttered and walked away.

The day outside the walls of the Homestead was no different than any other day in the Glade. Sunny and just warm enough that you were comfortable without ever breaking a sweat. That was one of the things that I loved about this place. The weather was always perfect.

I scanned the crowds of boys walking around hoping that I would spot the curly mess of Chuck's hair. No luck.

"Gre- Y/N I need to talk to you," a voice from behind caused me to jump.

"Yeah?" I turned to face Alby.

"You'll start training tomorrow," he nodded to me and turned to walk away.

"Wait!" I yelled to his back. "where is the Greenie?"

"Try the lookout tower," he yelled over his shoulder and continued walking.

"The lookout tower," I mumbled to myself. "Great."

I know that this chapter is short but I didn't have that much time and I wanted to get it up ASAP.

Okay so I'm really ticked at my mom right now. We were in the store and my dad and I went to look at softball bats because mine is way too small. The store had like no bats so we went to look at the other stuff that we were there for and my mom came up to us and started screaming at my dad for not picking one out.

Whenever she starts screaming at one of us, we usually just stop talking to her and wait for her to cut it out and realize that we don't want to really hear all of her crap about us being horrible people when we only say something about her being in a hurry or something like that. So, my brother, my dad, and I all did exactly that. And then she goes off screaming about how she isn't in a bad mood and that we are ganging up on her.

I can't stand her right now. And it just keeps getting worse. I can't wait for the weekend to be over.

So enough of my problems, what do you think? ~Caelyn
