"I... need to go, I can't stay here, all I've left behind, my family, my friends, and my career. I keep thinking about it constantly and with all that I've worked for, I can't just let it go Allen. I would love to stay, but knowing I would never see my mom and dad again is killing me inside. They raised me and watched me grow up and now they don't even know what happened to me. They probably are sick with worry. I can't keep doing this to them Allen!" I clutch onto him tighter as sobs wrack my body. I'm shaking like a leaf in his arms as he holds me close.
"____, I didn't realize this was plaguing you so much. We will miss you, but if you need to go home, we will understand," Allen grasps my face gently in his hands and touches our foreheads together, "just know that we will be here for you, you can always come back here for any reason. You don't need to leave forever." I continue to cry softly now looking into his soft grey orbs.
"But, I don't know what will happen once I go back home, what if I can't come back." Sniffling, I wipe away some of my tears with the back of my hand.
"You'll always be here in our hearts, you've quickly won us all over, even Kanda and the Noah. I'm sure we will find a way." With that, I smile through the tears and shake my head.
~time skip~
Years go by and I am living back in my apartment, going to my job everyday at the police station, now moved up to a detective in my department. My parents and friends were relieved when I came home, and I gave the excuse that I needed a couple days of space and took a spontaneous trip by train, but the train ended up breaking down so that's why
I was gone so long. Chronea hardly speaks ever since I left the world of D.Gray-man. I have tried to use her powers but I can only use them sparingly. Chronea explained that my body isn't capable of making large jumps like I did for a while because I did it twice consecutively. So for now, I'm home, missing everyone, but I'm glad to be home where I belong. Maybe one day they will find a way to come see me.
