Hours quickly became days stuck in a room that felt like an interrogation cell. I would be brought food and water by Wisely as he worked to "merge" me and Chronea; when in reality, we were just chatting the whole time. He informed me about the other Noah that had awakened and the plans of everyone since they weren't on a mission to destroy the world anymore. The Noah still had their memories and fears of the Pillar but as long as the Millennium Earl remained separated, they didn't care. Wisely tried explaining the memories but quickly was reduced to tears so I didn't dare push him further. Much of what he told me aligned with what Road had said in the manga so I figured he was being truthful. Even though I couldn't completely trust Wisely, I told him about the stone that I had in my possession that kept me and Chronea separated, since I'm unable to hide my thoughts to him anyway. He recalled the stone that was made ages ago as an experiment and noted that it was not a coincidence that it had that ability. The prior vessel of knowledge had predicted this timeline and requested the stone from Chronea as a counter measure. Wisely turned me and the chair completely around from the light so that I could have my vision back. He pulled up a chair to the left of me every time he came to talk to me so I was able to look at him and still have my vision intact.

"So they knew that this would happen and in making the stone was actively trying to help keep us separated?" I laid my head back into the chair and closed my eyes.

"Yes, like I said, the original had vague glimpses into this timeline. That's why this stone was created. I wanted to help Tyki, but if the future held disaster in helping you stay seperated, I wouldn't have." I crack one eye open and look at him with a slight smirk.

"Please, don't pull any punches." He rolled his eyes before responding.

"Hey, I'm helping aren't I?" Wisely idly tosses the stone in his hand into the air with a small smile on his features. "I can understand why Tyki likes you."

"Huh?" This catches me off guard and I sit up and give him my full attention. He only continues to toss the stone and give it his undivided attention.

"It's not just the pull from Chronea you have, your personality is magnetic. So genuine and caring. And it's not just for your loved ones, you give your heart to everyone. Even though Road turned on you, you still talk of her fondly to me." I blush at his straightforward words. I gather my thoughts quickly before responding with my feelings on the matter.

"As much as I want to feel hurt, I understand how much the Noah memory can compel you to do things you don't want to." I look down sullenly. "Tyki would have succumbed to his Noah memory had I not been here. It's not like Tyki would completely disappear, but I saw the anger of the Noah consume him." I look over to Wisely as he seemed deep in thought. "What is it?" He stops tossing the rock and turns to look at me dead in the eyes.

"You being here changed the course of history." I only tilt my head in confusion.

"Yes, that's readily apparent, what's the problem?" He lightly rubs his fingers into his temples and closes his eyes.

"I'm wondering if the future has changed again since I last glimpsed into it." I chuckle a little bit before responding.

"The future is always changing with our actions and inactions." One of his eyes cracks open and looks at me.

"Whose the wise one here?"

"But it is! I find it impossible that you were able to predict the future!" He closes his eye and once again looks to be meditating while chatting with me. This was an often look for the two of us when he came to visit me.

"It's not like I'm seeing in the same way we experience the present. I'm shown crucial decisions and the paths that those decisions create and general effects in the immediate future of that decision. Helping you was one of those, but there will be other crucial decisions that I haven't seen."

"That seems pretty clear cut to me." I roll my eyes and he shakes his head; even with his eyes shut it seems as if he can still see me.

"Except, if I don't know which outcome will be more beneficial, then the decision isn't clear."

"Like?"

"The butterfly effect, the general effect might seem good or bad and clear cut at that juncture, but the good choice might actually lead to the planet's destruction and the bad choice in the temporary might lead to the better future." I think for a moment on what he said before responding.

"So wing it?"

"Wing it?" He opens his eyes once more and turns to look at me.

"Don't let the future control your present. Go with what feels right." Now it was his turn to roll his eyes at me before he once again shut them and continued his meditating.

"Try telling that to my brain and the voices in my head." At a loss for the right words, I decide silence is the best option. After a while, Wisely starts up another conversation. "I told Shirley that it would take 2 weeks to fully merge you two, so hopefully that will be enough time to either get you out of here or have the exorcists come rescue you."

"Do you really think they'll figure out that it was the Noah?" I look down at my lap feeling the exhaustion of the day hitting me all at once.

"What do you mean?" I sigh before responding.

"The Noah are suppose to be my family, so they might be thinking that another entity all together took me." Wisely lightly places his hand on my shoulder. Surprisingly it was doing its job of helping to comfort me.

"They should have noticed the door you were kidnapped through was the tell tale Road door." I nod my head in agreement.

"I didn't notice, I kind of got knocked out." Wisely chuckles lightly before removing his hand. He places the stone in my pocket before standing up and moving his chair back into its normal place.

"Any requests for your lunch?"

"I'm feeling something sweet, something that will be a pick-me-up."

"Alright, I'll be back soon," he shoots what looks to be finger guns at me as he walks towards the door, "Don't cause any trouble while I'm gone." I shake my head in disappointment. My response dripping with sarcasm.

"Ah yes, all the trouble I'll get into while fully bound to a chair. The possibilities are endless."
