Chapter 32 - The Stone

Authors Note: Its been a long time coming, but here is the next part... it seems as if we are coming to the end of this soon...

My legs feel numb and weak as it nears a week and a half of my containment. As much as Wisely tries to visit me, I still feel the oncoming mental fatigue of isolation. Even if this stone is keeping my soul separated from Chronea, she has been speaking to me less and less as the days drag on. For what reason I am still unsure. Either way, I've given up the idea that the exorcists will find me. I need to find my own way out of here, with Wisely's help of course.

Last time he came in here with food, we discussed a couple possibilities for me to escape. One idea was to create a diversion but with this, Wisely needs to notify the exorcists of the Noah's whereabouts which puts every Noah at risk as they vowed to me not to fight the exorcists. Option two would be to sneak me out, but this would include notifying other Noah to help, and at this point, only a handful of them would help me, and not just want to merge me with Chronea. At the moment from what Wisely has seen in the minds of the other Noah, Tyki, LuLu, and the Twins are the only viable options in helping me escape. The rest of the Noah either do not know of my existence separate of Chronea, or want me to merge.

It was decided at lunch that we would go with option two as it was the safest option for the Noah, and all we would really need is something to free me, and I would be able to leave on my own. Right now Wisely is informing the Noah that will help us in our escape and at dinner, Wisely will bring me dinner and confirm whether our plan is a success or failure. Hopefully Tyki won't lose it and will actually stick to the plan.

I don't know. I... want to be with the Noah... I don't want you to disappear of course, but the second we leave, Sheryl will hunt us down and we won't be able to be a family again...

I place my hand over my pocket and feel the stone through the cloth.

If this stone is to keep our souls separated, there must be a stone out there to combine two souls. If my hunch is correct about this, the stone...

The stone?

I don't understand it fully myself... but Tyki is able to exist without the use of a stone to keep him separate from his Noah correct? Allen, like me, is still struggling to keep from merging with Nea. All Noah slowly take over their host, some faster than others, but it is an eventuality that the Noah soul will be in control. Why is Tyki about to keep his Noah completely at bay and how is Nea able to slowly take over Allen, even though a piece of innocence rests within his body? I believe unbeknownst to Tyki a stone of seperation resides somewhere on or within him, and for Allen, a stone that is able to combine souls is on him.

But that means...

Nea should know about it right? How could he possibly not know about the stone in Allen's body?

Could the stone be imbedded in Allen's Innocence?

That could be it! If that's the case, Nea might not be able to detect the stone, but as he said, he had a gut feeling if he consumed Mana, it would work. But we don't want Mana to Combine with Nea in Allen's body. We need to tell Nea immediately.

If this theory is correct, we could merge Mana and Nea, and separate Nea from Allen. But...

The Pillar... We still need Wisely to look into the future and figure out how to prevent that from happening. So now all we can do is wait for Wisely and get out of here.

*knock knock*

"Hello?" I call out hoping to hear a familiar male voice.

"Hello ____." I sigh in relief as I hear Wisely's voice greet me. I don't dare deviate from script as he could have others with him.

"What's for dinner?" I hear a single pair of footsteps enter the room and recognize a familiar silhouette black out the light and move closer towards me.

"Soup." And Option 2 has started. Sounds like a plan.

"Sounds delicious."
