CHAPTER TWENTY SIX: REAL BATTLE

"Do you really need to buy that thing?"

"Of course! I don't want to sleep without peel off masks, CJ would be happy if I got pimples." I answered back smiling at him.

He just shrug and then push the cart para makasabay siya saakin, "Are you sure, You're only staying there tonight?" He asks.

"Of course! I don't want to stay there anymore!"I responded but he just laughed.

Huh! He's making fun of me, uhh? Nag-eenjoy na siya masyadong pagtawanan ako.

I stared at him and giving him my death glare, "Oh relax! I'm just asking! You know?" He defended sounded so defeated, "Stop complaining there,Yokai. Go, Get yourself a mask." I commanded.

"What?! No way," he exclaimed as if I told him to cut his own head. "I rather go home than wearing that girly thing."

"Viandre it's just a mask." I said trying to convince him.

Gosh! Parang Face mask lang eh!

"No!"

"Urghh Yokai!"

"Don't want!"

"Morgensterrr!"

"I said No!"

"Please," I stated wearing a puppy eyes hoping that it could make him say yes.

I heard him sighed and he said, "Still no! I don't have to put that in my face, I'm already handsome!"

I rolled my eyes, "Buhat-Buhat ng sariling Bangko pag may time," I said, mocking him.

"Yeah," He only said, "But still I don't."Pagmamatigas niya.

But I refuse to take his answer. I'm not taking no. It should be 'yes' always.

"Pleaseeee?"

"Damn it! Stop pouting."

"Pleaseee?" I said pouted more.

I almost scream in joyful when he said– "Fine!" He answered back surrendered. He get himself a lot of peel off face mask and the put it on the cart. He gave me his look as if he was telling me that 'Your wish is granted'.

I noticed his whiskers so I get him a wax and a shave. I also buy a razor and a blade because his hair was too long. Uhmmm? I will gonna cut his hair later after this. His brow furrowed when he noticed what I have been buying, "And what is that for?" He asked raising his left eyebrow.

I smiled at him widely and said, ''It's for you."

His eyes suddenly turn into tremulant because of what I said. He shook his head and immediately cover his hair like a stupid ratatouille. "I don't want your idea!"

"Tss, Stop acting weird." I muttered while removing his hands on his head.

"You stop acting weird, I already joined you with this so that's enough for today." He answered back looking so nervous.

Inaano ko ba siya? Feeling ba niya kakalbuhin ko siya? Like duhh? I will just cut his hair. I won't curl it. Or maybe should I curl it. Depende!

I look around to see what else should I bought but my eyes captured something that really suit my yokai.

Hair Color, Teneeeeennnnn!

"Yaaa!" He hissed when he see me running towards the hair color materials section. "What are you planning to that thing?" He asked when he notice that I'm going to get that hair dye but I didn't mind him. "Its bad idea, Laexce. I can't you dye my hair," He said trying to argue with me. I took an ash gray dye color and then place it to my cart. 

I could imagine him in my mind wearing a gray hair that really suited his dark chinky eyes. Yikesss! Very attractive!

"Don't tell me your going to dye my hair–"

"And stop complaining." I stated cutting his words.

"Huh! You think I'm going to let you color my hair?" He retorted, pointing at the cart kung saan ko nilagay iyong shampoo.

I rolled my eyes lunatically and then I face him with a fierce in my face, "And do you think I would take your answer?" I answered back raising my left eyebrow.

"Oh my God," He utter to himself while pinching the bridge of his nose. I couldn't help myself not to laugh secretly.

"I won't really do this again," He stated while paying for our things. 'yung mukha niya parang pinagdamutan nang langit at Lupa ng kasiyahan, Tsk!

"Doing what?" I asked innocently.

"This! I'm not doing this anymore, I'll swear." He answered back, pouting his lips like a child.

Sino na ngumunguso ngayon, aber??

"Tsk, So you're regretting already that you came here with me?" I asked putting my arms across to my chest while raising my right eyebrow to him

''Not that, What I mean is––Me, Getting uto-uto because of your commands."He said looked like a puppy.

And what? Uto-uto? Shet Gusto kong matawa sa it'sura niya.

Is that him? Parang umiba bigla ang ihip ng hangin. Nahawa na ata siya dun kay Amber, tsk! ConyoBoy.

"Is that your way of comforting me?" I asked dramatically but he just rolled his eyes.

"And is that your way of saying thank you right after I saved you from that doppelganger?" He shot back eyeing me. Oh God, He's now turning the table! I don't want to remember that doppelganger of him! It's scaring the hell out of me! I bit my lip as I followed him walking out of the mall.

"Let's go." He said  carrying our stuffs, Late ko ng napansin na may Beer pa pala siyang kinuha atsaka–Chuckie?

CHUKIE?!! What the fuck–– Seriously?

Hindi ko na mapigilan ang sarili kong  Hindi matawa dahil sa kagagawan niya, Like what the fuck? Chuckie? Seryoso ba siya? Ano 'yan? Toddler!?

"Hey! What are you laughing at!?"Sabi niya na tumigil pa sa paglalakad at iritadong humarap saakin. Tinuro ko ang chuckie na nasa bandang gilid nang plastic niya saka nagsimulang tumawa ulit. Pakiramdam ko ay nagla-lock na iyong panga ko sa sobrang katatawa. No doubt kung mamaya utot ako ng utot dahil sa dami ng hangin na nakakain ko. Sobrang sakit na nang tiyan ko pero natatawa talaga ako chuckie niya. Hanggang sa makarating kame sa parking lot ay Hindi pa rin ako naka kamove-on

"Could you please stop laughing?" He stated, pissed off.

"Bakit kase may Chuckie ka?" Tumatawang sabi ko pero inirapan niya lang ako saka padabog na nilagay ang groceries sa compartment ng sasakyan niya.

I got stupefied. My lips literally parted, "W-What do you mean?"Takang tanong ko.

"Tss, Let's go,"He just said. I was stiffened when he held my hand and make me follow him.

I felt something weird in my chest as he touched my skin, He only let go of my hand as we reach his car.

What the heck was that, Meii?! What the heck was that?!!

"Did you buy it for me?" I ask diverting the topic but at the same time––Curious.

A side of his lips rose curving a smile, "Yeah. I scared you kanina so that's why." He stated, shrugging a little and then He started to heat his car engine. "My mom used to buy me chukie whenever I'm scared, sad or whatsoever. It's my comforting zone," He stated and then he maneuver his car.

For the next hours, pasado alas unse na kameng nakauwi sa hotel at sa buong maghapon, ngayon ko lang naramdaman iyong totoong pagod. Medyo ramdam ko rin ang panghahapdi ng lalamunan ko dahil sa kasisigaw ko kanina, pakiramdam ay medyo paos ako ng konti.

Wala akong ibang ginawa kundi ang mangalumbaba dito sa sofa habang siya–––––Andun sa kusina, nagluluto ng dinner. Masyadong magastos kung kakain pa kame sa restaurant, tapos 'yung rice kakaunti lang naman, Nakakalugi! Kaya bumili na lang kame ng dalawang kilong bigas at chicken wings.

Kamusta naman kaya sila Kaizer? Si Cassie and Cheska kaya? And oh, si  Amber na pinagmanahan ni Viandre ng pagiging Conyo. Kamusta na kaya silang lahat?! Si Mr.Ferrer kaya? Ano kayang mga ganap nila sa buhay?

"Dinner's ready,"He said while putting the food in front of me. A smile drew on my lips ng mapansin kong ang cute niya sa Magenta Apron niya. I begged myself not to burst out of laughter dahil paniguradong bibigwasan niya ako. Atsaka feeling ko good mood siya ngayon, so hayaan na lang. 'Wag nang sirain ang mood niya at baka tawagij niya ang doppelganger niyang sarap bigwasan.

"What's that?"I asked pertaining to his 'Ready-to-serve-food' while watching him pouring a wine into my glass. "Adobo Chicken breast with Australian pineapple," He answers proudly.

My forehead creased.

Grabe! Ang dami niyang alam! MANOK at PINYA lang may pa Australian-Australian pa siyang nalalaman!  May Pinay at mestisa bang pinya?!  Ano bang pinagkaiba nang dalawa? Liberated 'yung isa tapos demure iyong pangalawa?!!

"Tsk, Stop imagining things." Sabi niya saka pinitik ang noo ko, sinimangutan ko lang siya dahil ako rin naman ang lugi kapag Iniwanan niya ako dito ng MAG-ISA!

Nilagyan niya ako ng kanin sa plate ko and then some of his 'Adobo chicken something' niya.

"Taste it,"Sabi niya saka umastang susubuan niya ako. Hinipan niya muna 'yung kutsara saka niya Nilagay   sa harap ng bibig ko So I did open my mouth and eat the food.

"How is it?" He asked waiting for me to say something. "What? Doesn't it taste good?" Tanong niya saka sunod-sunod na tinikman iyong luto niya. "Don't you like it?"Tila kabadong tanong niya.

Sumubo ako ng isa pa, nang hindi inaalis ang tingin sakanya.

I want to watch his reaction if in case na ligwak siya, pero syempre Hindi siya ligwak dahil talaga  namang Masarap 'yung mestisang pinya niya. Kapag si CJ kase ang nagluluto, Masarap naman. Pero ito, Feeling ko talaga kakaibang level na eh.


Manakaw nga recipe niya minsan.

"Its okay, let's just order–––"Mabilis kong hinila iyong damit niya ng astang kuhanin niya iyong Plato ko.

"Kumain kana," Sabi ko saka nilantakan ang pagkain sa mesa.

"I thought you didn't like the food,"He answered back seemingly sad. His lips was halfway pouted. Gusto ko siyang kurutin pero nagugutom na ako masyado lalo na kung natikman ko 'yung mestisang pinya niya.

"Tsh,  masarap kaya," I said to him.

His face suddenly lighten up after hearing the word 'masarap kaya'.

"Weh?" Muntik ko ng maibuga iyong pagkain ko dahil sa sinabe niya, Kanino niya ba natutunan 'yan? Bakit pag ako ang sagwa pakinggan? Pag siya bakit sosyal pa rin?!

"Tsk! Kakain ka o uubushan kita?" Tanong ko saka sunod-sunod na sumubo. Halata ang pagtataka sa mukha niya habang ako Walang paki-alam at balak ko talaga siyang ubusan. As in, wala akong ititira! Except sa Plato, kutsara, tinidor at baso.

"Okay,"Sabi niya saka naupo sa harap ko.   "Let's eat."

"Mmm, Kanino mo 'to natutunan?" Tanong ko

"Its my Mother's recipe," He answered back smiling.

"It taste good,"I said. "Its quite delicious."

"Oum," He hitted back.
