They were pacing their respective rooms, yet again. It became an everyday thing for both men. Fred and Tom would wait every night for Emelia to come back to them. She was fine, of course, but they weren't going to risk their dignity going after her.
Maybe Tom would.
"Draco!" he yelled.
The platinum haired boy stumbled in looking as if he was running on 2 hours of sleep.
"M'lord," he greeted, though not happily.
"Go find Emelia. I want to find out her location and exactly what she's doing. Go."
He was unhappy at the orders he was given, but complied. Draco left Tom in the downstairs living room of the Malfoy Manor by himself. Tom sprawled out on the sofa and summoned a drink to him. The bourbon burned in his throat, but gave him a good feeling.
"Sir, are you alright?" Bellatrix said as she came out of the kitchen.
"Jus' fine."
She approached him and sat on the edge of the couch. He didn't care much for her. Bellatrix had hair that seemed wild, but not quite like Emelia's. Emelia's was messy in the sense that she didn't have a lot of time to comb through it. Bellatrix had more of a manic lions mane.
Tom laughed to himself about it.
"What're you laughing about, m'lord?" she inquired. It was in a nosy tone, but Tom was too drunk to notice.
"You."
Bellatrix mistook the reply for a sign of attraction towards her. She gave a gruesome smile and poured some bourbon for herself.
"I'm always in my room, taking up space. Occasionally, I'll get a few glances from others. But when she walks in I am loved..." he propped himself up. "D'you get it?"
"I do, yes. I do."
Bellatrix leaned in for a kiss and Tom didn't know what he was doing. He held her jaw and kissed her back.
"I see, this is why you asked me to leave."
Emelia was standing in the fireplace, holding Draco firmly by his ear. He quickly pushed Bella away and she looked genuinely hurt.
"Once you're done, maybe you can explain to me why I found your pesky little servant inside my hotel room."
She let him go and he held his ear. Draco looked so red as if he were going to explode any second.
"Leave." he said quietly to Bellatrix.
She got up, obediently, shot Emelia a death glare, and left. Tom wiped the lipstick off of his mouth and tried to straighten up. His vision was blurred and he was slurring his words.
"So sorry, didn't mean to."
She walked over to him and grabbed his arm, leading him back to his room. Emelia set him down on the bed and he looked down at her. For once, nothing about him was menacing. He looked like a normal teenage boy.
"Are you okay?" she asked sincerely.
"No," he admitted. It was too easy.
She was kneeling in front of him when he sat on the bad. Emelia grabbed his chin and made him face her, completely. It almost seemed as if there were tears in his eyes.
"It'll be okay, c'mon." she said.
"No. I've gone too far and you don't even care. Always with 'Freddie' nowadays."
She held his hands in hers and stood up, now looking down at him. He was being vulnerable with her and it was something which she took very personal.
"I've been with Ophelia these past few days," she said. "C'mon, get up."
He unwillingly got up, she had to lift him a little. She muttered a charm and all of a sudden, instruments from outside the room started playing. It was beautiful. They could hear them and it was the perfect volume. She took a swig of the bourbon and set it aside.
"Let's dance."
"I never learnt how to dance."
"All this time I assumed you were a posh boy," she joked.
He didn't argue and put his hands on her waist with hers on his shoulder and trousers waistband. Slowly, she got closer to his ear and whispered into it.
"Fred and I aren't really together anymore. We're getting a divorce once we find out who gets custody of Ophelia."
It wasn't a complete lie. While she was contemplating getting a divorce, the details weren't fully finalized. Fred mentioned the fact Ophelia needed a stable father figure in her life. Emelia knew Tom couldn't provide that for her.
"Say something, Riddle. You're scaring me."
Tom let out a laugh and kissed her. He was only in shock.
"You're like magic. I don't know how, but you enchant me. So much. I want to be with you forever," he spilled out.
"Live in the moment."
She slung her arms over Tom's shoulders and kissed him. Emelia didn't like that Bellatrix's lips were on his so she became more eager. Her hands worked their way to the inside of his waistband where she was so close yet so far.
"Go on." he said while grinning. His forehead was on hers and it felt perfect.
She moved her fingers in a circular motion and felt him squirm. Before he knew it she pulled away and stood there smiling.
"What?" he said.
"Now, I won't forgive you so quickly for kissing Bellatrix. You're going to have to earn me."
Emelia walked away with a cheeky smile and he was frustrated.
"Can't just leave me like this!" he yelled at her.
She stopped at the doorway and looked back at him.
"I so can and you're intoxicated. Goodnight, Riddle. Please don't do anything to get you in trouble."
"This isn't funny."
By then, she'd left his room and he was left there. Even if he was a little angry he couldn't help but to feel slightly giddy from the talk they had.
