It was 5:45 and Emelia got out of the shower. She decided to do her makeup before he came. She took out her small makeup bag and got out highlighter, eyeliner, and lip liner.
The highlighter stick went down the bridge of her nose and in the inner corners of her eyes. She then grabbed the lip liner and traced her lips. After that she applied minimal liner to her eyes, giving them a winged effect.
'Shit. What clothes do I wear.'
She pulled out a black satin silk slip dress, but it felt like too much so she paired it with a grey zip up jacket. Finally, jewelry. Emelia loved jewelry. It was quite materialistic, but why would she give a damn?
Riddles ring shone on her thumb. She walked into the bar of the hotel and sat down. He wasn't there, yet. She waited for ten more minutes before boredom took over and she ordered a drink. She finished it up and he still wasn't there.
"'Scuse me, d'you happen to know the time?", she asked the man sitting next to her.
"It's 6:30. What's a pretty young lady, like you, doing in a damp bar like this?", he asked.
"Well someone was supposed to see me here and he hasn't shown up."
He nodded, understanding she'd been stood up.
"The least I could do is pay for your drinks.", he said.
"Sounds like a good plan. By the way, my name is Emelia."
She drank more until her words were somewhat slurred, but she could still make sense of her surroundings.
"Y'know I get sad when I drink. Start thinking of my boyfriend.", he said in a sad low tone.
"What's happening with you both?"
He shook his head and put his head between his hands.
"We've been fighting for a day or two because I want to go out more often, but he wants me to stay in. I'm stuck at home all day, it's dreadful. Alas, I love him."
"Sir, what's your name?", she asked.
"Sirius Black."
She smiled.
'Harry Potters' uncle.'
"Well...Sirius. I understand it gets lonely in times where we'd like to go out and have fun, but try to help around the house while you're stuck there. You're not gonna have any fun by moping around here while your boyfriend is worried for you."
Emelia found it easy to talk to him, somehow. His presence was calm, but she just knew he had a wild side.
"You are so right. Now I must head out, thank you for knocking some sense into me. Emelia...tell the man who stood you up to shove off and go have fun! The world means so much more than just a silly boy. Goodnight!" he said as he dipped out the door.
She knew he was right. She didn't expect much from Riddle, but she wasn't going to let him have his fun while she moped. Emelia got up and walked out of the door. She got to a safe space where no one could see her and focused.
She'd only apparated twice before, so it was likely she could lose a few body parts. It was even worse because she was drunk. She saw a figure appear in the front of the alleyway.
"Emelia!", he called out.
It was Tom.
Too late. She'd already started apparating and then her body turned into air.
