Fred pushed Olive away and stared at the door where Emelia was standing.
"It's really not what it looked like-" he said.
'What a pathetic fucking excuse.' she thought.
"Fuck you, Fred. Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you!" she screamed.
His throat twinged with guilt and he tried to swallow it down, but it stayed there. Emelia pointed her wand at Fred, completely ignoring Olive.
"I'm sorry." he said in a hushed tone.
She flicked her wand and Fred flinched, but she only muttered "Accio clothes and belongings."
Everything piled into her trunk and she stormed out with it following her. Fred stood there with his hand behind his neck and Olive's hand to her mouth.
"That was a bit funny." she commented. Fred yelled at her.
"Could you just shut up, Olive, bloody hell. All you do is talk and talk! Just fuck off."
She silenced and her lips quivered a bit.
"You did all this to spite Emelia. All she did was try to be nice to you and avoid me, but guess what? All YOU wanted to do was use me." he said.
He stormed out and left her in the room.
Emelia went to her new dorm and settled down. She was mad at herself. She'd trusted him too quickly. It hurt, but why didn't she expect it? He was good for her, almost too good.
Her black skinny jeans' rips were getting larger as she stuck her wand in them. She got up and decided to walk around the castle. It was nearing 9 PM and it was very dark. Her airpods were in her ear shuffling through music.
Emelia ran into Draco in the hallway and grabbed his wrist, pulling him into the prefect's bathroom which Riddle had taken her to earlier.
"Are you alright, Emelia?" he asked.
She stuffed one of her airpods into his ears and his eyes widened.
He was a bit surprised and asked her, "Why is there a song playing in my ear? Emelia?"
Emelia sung along with the song, Jenny, dancing in the bath which had no water in it.
"Draco, listen. There's a few things you don't know of. Why I talk to you so often."
Draco stared at her not knowing how to react.
"I wanna ruin our friendship, we should be lovers instead. I don't know how to say this because you're really my dearest friend."
He realized what she was doing when she was singing and gasped.
"Emelia! C'mere...you're not in the right mind."
She approached him and he gave her a hug. She sunk into his arms and nearly started crying.
"Draco, I don't know what to do. I walked in on Fred snogging Olive when we were together, doing fine, a few hours ago.", she said with her face in his chest, voice muffled.
"I'll hex him for you, if you'd like.", he said while comforting her. He took her hands while his cold rings pressed against her also cold skin.
"No, no. I just...I don't know. Draco, you know you are one of my dearest friends. I just don't expect anything out of you, but here you are."
His heart stopped for a second. He never thought he'd agree with anyone, but it was true. Here they were, in the bathroom together, hugging each other as friends.
"I'll take you back to your dorm room, cmon. Get some rest. Don't think too much about the stupid ginger."
She nodded and they got up. He held her hand and she leaned against his shoulder while they walked back. When she reached her dorm he wished her a goodnight and started walking back to his.
Emelia walked in and saw Ginny fast asleep. She went to her bed and fell asleep. This was probably the earliest she'd fell asleep on a school night the whole school year.
