"dana are you handling this alright?" "Yes mom, I have paced myself and I know that this will be the best move I can make" "I'm happy you are doing this and you know your father and I just want what is best for you" "yes mom I know thank you" "in your new place you will not have to pay any rent we bought it" "what?, mom no, I want to pay rent" "what you can do is save, bye yourself a car for when you get better and can venture out" "okay mom".
"Right is this all of your stuff?" "Yes this is all I have left" "let's get it in the truck, then we can make our way to your new home" "okay".
"Well now that's done we can get on our way. The truck will follow us to your place" I nodded as I got into mom's car.
Arriving at a large building, I looked at my mom "there's a lot of people here mom" "you have your own elevator, you may share with one other person but I'm sure you will not bump into them that often" that made me feel a lot better.
"Gentlemen. the entrance you will be needing is around the back of the building" "yes ma'am we will move the truck around to the back and get started" "thank you".
"Mom this place looks very expensive" "it wasn't cheap but your father and I only want the best for you" "I know but.." "it's fine dana. we just want you to be safe and happy" I nodded not knowing what else to say. There is no point arguing with my mom, I'd never win anyway.
Heading through the front doors, I could see this place is filled with many professional people. "Mom I won't fit in here" "you can use the back entrance but for now I just need to collect the key. If anyone is to misjudge or mistreat you, I will deal with them" "okay".
"Hi how can I help you today?" "Hi I'm Janelle blanche, this is my daughter dana. I have just purchased an apartment and I am here to collect the key" I could see the way the receptionist looked at me and felt very uncomfortable "do you have a problem?" "Ahh no miss I do not" "good. I did not purchase this property so you could look down on my daughter, my daughter will be living here and I expect you will treat her as you would me" "yes ma'am" "good".
"It says here you have purchased The penthouse apartment" "that is what I purchased yes, now can I please have the key" "of course ma'am would you like the spare as well?" "Yes I will have both" the receptionist nodded. "Here you go ma'am enjoy your new apartment miss blanche" "ahh thank you".
"Mom the pent house apartment?" "Yes dana, your father and I wanted you to have the best and this way we knew you would not have to see many people as you can use the private elevator" "alright".

Getting to the door of my new apartment mom put the key in and opened the door.
"Oh wow this is, this is just beautiful" "as i expect it to be, let's get your stuff moved in".
The penthouse was all modern, brand new kitchen with granite countertops and quite large. Two bedrooms but I can use one for my work which is perfect. the bathroom is very large with a double head shower and a spa in the corner. There is also a laundry too which I am thankful for, in my last house the bathroom and laundry were together. Most of the furniture is already in the apartment so I will not have to purchase too much.
"Are you okay dana?" "Yes mom I was just looking around" "are you happy with your new home?" "Yes mom" "good and your dad will be very happy knowing you are comfortable".

I had spent most of my day, unpacking and finding places for everything. I like my house to be neat, clean and tidy.
I will definitely not get it all done in one day but that's okay, I can deal with it. I know it will get done.
Mom helped me set up my desk and computer. I can not connect my phone line for work until tomorrow but that is okay, I have had a very big day and I don't think I could handle taking any phone calls today.
I can't be more thankful for what my parents have done for me, I never expected them to buy me an apartment, let alone a pent house but I do feel safe here. this place has so much security, cameras and I also have a private elevator which I will need to share with one other person, who lives in the other apartment but that's okay. It's only one person, I can easily deal with them or avoid them.

Making some food, I heard my phone go off. It must be mom, I will get back to her soon. I haven't even looked at my phone today. I have not had a chance, my mind has been on moving.
Sitting down eating my meal I looked around my apartment. It's peaceful, calming and very welcoming but something is missing. Music, I haven't got my music on. Finishing my meal, I put my music on low. I do not want to disturb the neighbours, I am unsure what they are like and the last thing I want to do is upset them.
Feeling more at peace with the music occupying my mind, I headed for a shower. When I had seen it earlier, it looked amazing but I'm just hoping it has pressure. There's nothing better than pressure in a shower, its so relaxing.
Stripping out of my clothes, I turned the shower on and stepped in. Oh my God. this shower is just as good as it looks And i love how it has one hand shower head, so I can just remove it from the wall and easily wash my body down.
Getting out of the shower, I quickly dried myself and got dressed before turning the lounge stereo off, grabbed my phone and headed back to my room.
Turning my small stereo on, I climbed into bed and grabbed my phone.
It wasn't mom it was Lochie.

Lochie - Evening dana how are you feeling?, I hope better than earlier today.

Lochie - hi dana is everything okay? Did today go as planned?

Oh I didn't even know he messaged me last night and now another message. Its nice that he cares. besides my parents, I have no one else but I am also very worried, the last few times I have trusted someone, I have been hurt.

Today went as planned. I have been very busy but I am now in my new place and I like it. I hope you have had a good day
Lochie - oh dana I am happy to hear from you, I have been worried. It's wonderful to hear you like the new place is it what you wanted?
- and more. My mom not only helped me find a place she bought it for me which I think is a little too much. I can only hope my neighbors are good.

-no, only one but I have yet to meet them I am in no rush.
Lochie - I can understand that. Just take it one day at a time. Are you feeling okay? Have you been drinking and eating?
- I'm feeling fine I have my music going. Yes I have had some food and had plenty of fluids. Thank you for caring.
Lochie - good hopefully you can get some sleep
- that is the plan although it doesnt always work out. I am going to try now so I will say goodnight.

Lochie is a very caring person. he always checks up on me. I don't know why he is not in a relationship. I'm sure he has many woman who would find him very attractive not just by looks but he is really nice. I don't know if it's just towards me or not, as I haven't really got to know him. His sister natalie was the same when I had met her, so maybe they are both very respectful and kind.
I am so happy they were both at the club that night. I didnt know what would've happened if they did not help me. I will have to ask Lochie if I can speak with natalie to thank her. Maybe I should just message him and ask him to do it for me.
Grabbing my phone from my bedside table I opened my messages.
-hi Lochie, I am sorry to bother you again. I was just thinking and hoping you could thank your sister for me I know I may have done it at the club but it was definitely not enough and I am so thankful for her helping me. Take care and good night
Lochie - you could never bother me dana. I don't think it is necessary, natalie likes to help but I will be happy to do it. Is your mind taking over and stopping you from sleeping?
