By the time we get home the temperature has dropped below freezing and now every breath I take from the car to Jacob's house is misted up in front of me.

Winter is definitely on its way. I have been so self-indulged lately I barely noticed that the colours of the trees were all changing and most of the leaves were on the floor already.

Suddenly, Jacob takes me by the hand and pulls me along quickly as heavy rain drops begin to fall around me.

"Shit!" I scream as I giggle and pick up the pace to keep up with him.

We make it inside just as the rain beats down heavily on the ground, instantly creating large puddles and soaking everything within seconds. The angry clouds gather above us, suggesting we are in for some kind of storm.

"I guess we made it back just in time." Jacob smiles as he uses his hand to shake off the rain drops from his thick dark hair.

I admire the chaos of his hair as it flops over to one side. Usually it is perfectly styled to match his professional demeanour, but this relaxed look is definitely my favourite.

Jacob pulls his sweater up over his head, momentarily revealing his warm chiselled body and of course my wondering eyes are immediately fixated on him. I stare hungrily at the slight indents beside his hip bones and remember how the weight of his body felt on top of mine. I can't help but picture myself tugging at his messy hair right now and visualising him taking over my body and filling me with pleasure.

"Stop it." Jacob startles me.

"W-what?"

"Staring at me like that. It's like you're undressing me with your eyes and it'll turn me on." He sighs, as if he is trying to tell me off but his smirk gives him away.

"No idea what you're talking about. Seriously. Don't flatter yourself." I say with a shrug and nonchalantly walk away towards the kitchen.

"Oh okay, we're playing that game?" He says before chasing me into the next room and playfully wrestling me.

Giggling, I wriggle free from his clutches and run round the kitchen island to grab the spray cream from the fridge.

"Don't you dare!" Jacob half authoritatively shouts.
"That's for our hot chocolates I got you for later. And...maybe one or two other things as the night goes on."

"Oh really?!" I jeer sarcastically which forces Jacob to laugh before he chases me round the island.

As Jacob grabs ahold of me we fall to the kitchen floor, laughing. I land on his lap and he embraces me by pulling me closer and guiding my legs until they're wrapped around his waist.

I can't help but wonder whether he has ever had moments like this with Elle. Although I struggle to see it. I can't imagine Elle risking a crease in her two hundred pound jeans or sitting on a floor for that matter and I think that's what makes this all the more better. This side of Jacob is new. It's new for him. I don't think he has ever been this raw and honest with anyone before. This, is the real Jacob. Behind the money and the expensive suits. This is him.

"Has anyone else got to see you smile like this?." I blurt out, completely engulfed in this moment.

Jacob looks up at my face and studies me carefully, he has a mixture of uncertainty and worry in his eyes, like he has had some flicker of realisation and vulnerability but finally, he swallows hard to compose his emotions and shakes his head to answer me, before grasping the back of my neck with his hand and pulling me in close for a kiss.
