May 22, 1997

The alarm went off and Stevie groaned nuzzling her face deeper into the pillow. They were spooning, both sleeping on their right sides, Stevie's bottom pressed to Lindsey's crotch he had his left arm thrown over her and his right arm under her, and his left hand that had been by her mouth and entangled with her left hand had gone up to slam the alarm to stop the annoying beep, beep, beep, beep.

"I don't wanna get up." Stevie whines.

"Me either, but we film today so we have to get there early." Lindsey states.

"I know, I don't want to." She states rolling onto her back. He was still on his side so she just grabbed his left hand and started playing with his fingers.

"You're cute when you're sleepy. Like a Sleepy kitten." He smirks kissing her.

She just hissed in retaliation. He laughed and then he kissed her head again.

"I'm going to get in the shower...wanna join me?" He asks.

"No, I'm going to go make breakfast. I'm thinking French Toast." She states pulling away from him.

"How long are you going to hold out on me?" He whines.

"New Beginnings Lindsey, I want to build a solid steady relationship with a man before I sleep with him." She states crawling out of bed and grabbing her bathrobe, throwing it over her shoulders.

"But it's so hard especially sleeping in the bed with you." He whines.

"A little bit longer Lindsey." She sighs heading out towards the kitchen of his condo.

It wasn't much, but it was nice. He had two bathrooms, one that was off the living room and the master bathroom. His kitchen was nice and spacious and it was an eat-in kitchen so he had a small table off to the side, and then there was the living room. It's not a place she'd want to stay full time, but she figures if she's with Lindsey she'll be fine wherever she ends up, and there is that part of her that really wants to sleep with him, but she won't until she knows for sure that things are going well between them. Right now it feels like they're in a honeymoon phase and she's just waiting for the shoe to drop. And normally Stevie's not a pessimistic person but she and Lindsey had been through a lot together.

When Lindsey emerged from the bathroom, she was plating the french toast and he thanked her and greedily started cutting into them. Stevie filled with nerves because of the show, was eating slower, so she just started with one of her strawberries and she was dipping in it her syrup.

"Have I told you that I missed your cooking?" He asks.

"No, actually you haven't." She shakes her head biting into her strawberry.

"Well it's true, I always preferred your cooking over anybody. Hell, even my mom." He shrugs.

"You think I cook better than Ruth? I don't believe it for a second." She shakes her head.

"My mom's cooking tastes bland to me." He shrugs.

"Honey, her lasagna is something I could only dream about making. Mine never turns out that good." She shakes her head.

"That's what you should make for dinner." He points out.

"It takes two and a half hours." Stevie scolds.

"So, Here's what you do, you brown the hamburger before we go to the venue and then you put it in the fridge and then you put it all together when we get home." He states.

"We're going to be exhausted." Stevie shakes her head.

"But I want Lasagna and we aren't having an after-party." He pleads.

She just huffs and turns to the freezer and pulls out ground beef.

"As soon as I go get in the shower put this in the microwave to defrost this." She demands,

"And then dice this." She pulls the white onion off of the counter.

The month that she's been living with him has been amazing on both of their parts. They didn't really go out on any dates, but they spend plenty of time curled up on the couch talking and reminiscing, and then every night they'd curl up together in bed and they'd both go to sleep with smiles on their faces.

Arriving at the venue in Burbank Stevie looked at Lindsey, they were sharing a car as Lindsey didn't feel like driving out of the venue with all the fans and the mobs of cars everywhere.

"Are you okay," he asks taking her hand.

"I'm scared, Lindsey." She shakes her head.

"It'll be okay, you look great you're going to sound great and when you're nervous or freaked out just look at me okay, I'm right there. " He states kissing her head.

"Okay." She sighs.

They go through their pre-show rituals and while Stevie's on her vocal rest, Lindsey walks into her dressing room, Karen's first instinct was to kick him out but she knew they had been staying together so she wasn't going to even bother because it would've just been too much work.

When Lindsey walks in and Stevie sees him, her face brightens, and then she quickly stops Liza her makeup artist and she climbs out of her chair and she grabs her necklace off of the vanity and hands it to him.

He takes it into his hands and he clasps it around her neck kissing the back of her head pulling a big bright smile out of her. Once Liza finishes, and though Stevie is in her black silk robe, Lindsey sitting against the arm of the couch becomes her pillow as she climbs on it with him and nuzzles under his arm. He doesn't know why she falls asleep but she does and he just sits there contended when the rest of Fleetwood Mac walks in. Lindsey is quick to shush them as she startles slightly but ultimately stays asleep.

"What's going on with you two?" Christine questions in a whisper.

"I don't know...she's been staying with me because you know, she lives in Arizona and we've made out countless times but that's as far as we've got, and then she does stuff like this." He points to her.

"Well wake her up, we don't have a lot of time left." Christine scolds.

Lindsey just laughs and then he brings his right hand up to her cheek and starts placing some of her hair behind her ears and she wakes up easily and just stares up at him with sleepy eyes and then she leans up and kisses him completely unaware of the other people in the room until Mick clears his throat and she turns her attention to him. She just cuts her eyes and goes back to kissing Lindsey.

"Well, it looks like they're back together." John laughs.

Stevie just flips him off.
