Stevie was fully in mom mode and promo mode. Her kids were currently at school and she was doing a promo at home while her kids weren't there. All of the promo for this album still is being done at their house simply because she prefers that now that she's a mother. At one point she wouldn't have liked her home and privacy invaded but now with two pre-teen children as apart of her package it's just easier and it stresses her out less.
She was being interviewed by an Australian man, who had graciously flown to Los Angeles to be there with her. She had been playing the piano when he arrived so she finished her song as the cameras started to roll, nothing prompted about it period.
"Do you like your voice?" The guy asks when she finishes.
"I love my voice. I do. I love that my voice doesn't sound like anyone else."
"How would you describe it?"
"I would describe it as like a little kinda gnome like voice." Stevie explains.
They cut the cameras and Stevie gives him a brief tour and they end up outside. Where the Cameras start rolling again.
"We're filming at Stevie's House in Los Angeles."
"Lindsey and I bought this property and there was a shack like a literal shack on this gorgeous six acre piece of land so we bulldozed it and built this house and I think it's probably my favorite house of all of the places I've lived because I really got to design it and I kind of designed it like an English Cottage. And the roses I take great pride in, I'm the only one that touches them and if you smell them they smell really like candy. Look at the pool the most beautiful pool in the world. That was the one thing Lindsey said had to be here."
"It's a very beautiful pool and I like the Buddhas in the garden too."
"Your home tells a story of a life lived with the volume turned up."
"My inspiration comes from real life from everything and then I have my amazing memories and I have a memory like a little steel trap and I can remember everything so sometimes I just reach into my little bag of treasures and sometimes It happened a long time ago."
"Your road to stardom started when you met Lindsey Buckingham you were in a band and then between gigs you were a waitress and a cleaner."
"Yes, Lindsey and I did not have money hardly to buy food. And pay for our rent and our car that didn't have reverse."
"Really?"
"We couldn't even park in a parking space unless we could pull out frontwards.
"Today Stevie is sober, and married to bandmate Lindsey Buckingham with two kids."
"Lindsey and I got back together by happenstance."
"Happenstance?"
"I had a really bad day when we were going in for rehearsals for the Dance and Lindsey's known me for so long that he just picked up on it and all he had to do was hug me and say it's going to be okay. And then we went to dinner and it just happened. And I was lucky enough to actually get pregnant in my fifties and I think we're in a really good place right now." Stevie explains.
He goes to ask her another questions when they hear the door slam and Stevie jumps a little bit as a loud "STOP IT!" Rings through the rooms.
"Excuse me." She looks at the interviewer who nods and cuts the camera and then she makes her way to the little arch way that leads into the rotunda.
"What is going on?" She asks her children who had very angry and red faces throwing their bags and coats down.
"The School called my cell phone. There's a potential gas leak so they evacuated them to the community center and they called the fire department. The investigation won't be done until well after school lets out so they dismissed the children for the day and they'll call tomorrow if they can't go back. But they've been picking at each other since they got in my car." Karen explains.
"What do you mean by picking?" Stevie crosses her arms looking at her children.
At that Seth reaches over and yanks on Everleigh's ponytail. "STOP IT!"
"OKAY ALRIGHT! Leave your sister alone, pick up your stuff, I have company right now and I don't need your backpacks in the middle of the entry way it's a safety hazard. So pick up your stuff and then go upstairs to your bedrooms. Do your homework and stay separated. I'll come up and get you in a little bit." Stevie states.
"What's for dinner?" Everleigh inquires.
"Homemade Pizza." Stevie answers and the younger child cheers before grabbing her stuff and booking it up the stairs.
Stevie returns to the office where they were doing the interview and the interviewer chuckles.
"I'm so sorry about that." She shakes her head.
"It was nice seeing you in mum mode." He chuckles.
"That's kind of why I wanted to do the interviews at home. I love Australia and I would've gone there in a heartbeat but my kids are in school...well they're not in school, school was unexpectedly shut down for the day which is why they're here, but the kids are in school and Lindsey's on tour. He's in Chicago tonight so it's just me with them. Lindsey and I decided very quickly after I found out I was pregnant with our oldest that our kids would NOT be raised by people other than us. My second leg starts in November and Lindsey comes home at the end of October so we just make it work." Stevie explains.

While the three of four of the family was earring their homemade Pizza for dinner, Stevie cleared her throat. "What if I pulled you out of school on Friday."
"What do you mean?" Seth asks.
"Well I'd pick you up after school on Thursday and we could fly to Washington Beach New York, and surprise your dad." Stevie shrugs.
"Yeah let's do it." Seth cheers
"But you have to promise to stop picking on your sister." Stevie replies as the telephone rings. She moves over from where she was eating against the island and clears her throat going to answer it.
"Hello."
"Hi this is Principle Culpepper from Lincoln Middle School calling for Stephanie or Lindsey Buckingham."
"This is Stephanie...how can I help you?" She asks.
"Hello Mrs. Buckingham, I'm sorry to bother you but I need to let you know that they did find a gas leak in the cafeteria as we have a gas range. There's no reason to believe that your children have been harmed by it, but we are closing the school for the rest of the week just so we can air the school and make sure it is safe for everyone. We've created files for each student with their homework and little mini lessons for the week which will be available for pick up in the main parking lot tomorrow at eight."
"Well thank you for letting me know, that actually works well because I was going to pull them for a weekend trip on Thursday." Stevie smiles and the kids start cheering at the prospect of not having to go to school.
When Stevie turns back to her kids they're dancing in their seats and she just laughs outloud.
"Don't get too excited. I have to go pick up your homework packets tomorrow at eight in the morning." Stevie smirks.
"Oh." Seth groans and Stevie just cackles kissing his head.
"Ma-um," he whines in retaliation.
"But that means we can go see daddy early." Everleigh beams, she was definitely Lindsey's baby girl.
"Yeah, I'll get Karen to charter us a plane tomorrow afternoon." Stevie nods wrapping her arms around Everleigh's shoulders and giving her a big mama bear hug.
