Pacifica stared after Mabel. What just happened? She didn't know. She shook her head, tears threatening to fall. She quickly wiped the tears away from her eyes, and looked up when the world turned grey-scale.
"I'm still holding up my side of the deal kid," Bill stated. Pacifica whirled at him.
"Then why is she still going to see him?!" She snapped.
"Yeesh kid, relax," Bill said, his hands up. Pacifica crossed her arms and tapped her foot, glaring at the triangle demon. Bill chuckled.
"Just wait a bit longer, you'll get Shooting Star all for yourself, trust me," he said, then snapped his fingers. Pacifica fell backwards, her eyes half lidded. Then, listening to Bill's laughter, everything went black.
Meanwhile, with Mabel, everything was going well. Sure they had discovered a gnome or two, (who all tried to grab Mabel, but she kicked them away,) but that was pretty much it. Mabel sighed in relief. She would not have wanted to meet a gremloblin face-to-face in its home territory. Thankfully, they weren't that deep in the woods when they stopped. Jason turned to Mabel.
"Do you trust me?" He asked. Mabel nodded, feeling like she could. A small grin grew on Jason's face.
"Good. Now close your eyes, and grab my hand," he instructed. Mabel took a deep breath, then closed her hands and grabbed ahold of Jason's hand. She wasn't sure if he was still grinning or not, but it didn't matter, because she was smiling, very widely. In fact, for a second there, she honestly thought she was smiling as wide as Bill did when he possessed Dipper, and then Mabel's smile disappeared from her face.
"Are you ready to go?" She heard Jason ask. She nodded her head in response. Without another word, Jason held onto her hand, then started to drag/guide her deeper and deeper into the forest.
