Both Stanford and Stanley must've drifted off at some point, because Stanford woke up. The two of them were still in the basement, but he felt like something was wrong. Wouldn't Dipper have come down to get them or have done something by now? Taking a deep breath, Stanford stood up. Stanley opened his eyes.
"Stanford? What's wrong?" He asked.
"Something seems off," Stanford murmured.
"Obviously. Have you not been paying attention this entire time?" Stanley sarcastically asked. Stanford put his hand up to quiet him and listened. Hearing no sound made him worry more.
"Let's go check up on Dipper," Stanford said. Stanley nodded, but didn't ask anything as Stanford led him upstairs. In the gift shop they didn't see anyone, but last they checked Dipper was in the living room, so they went there. When they didn't find Dipper Stanford's worry grew, and even Stanley looked a little concerned.
They looked all over the Mystery Shack, but found no trace of Dipper. Both Stanford and Stanley were extremely worried now.
"We have to go get them Stanford," Stanley said, lowering the tension.
"I know," Stanford said, sighing. "I know."Dipper was at the Fearamid. He luckily didn't run into any eye ball bats, although he did see some along the way. He looked around, making sure that none of them had followed him, then looked back up at the Fearamid.
"Need some help?" Dipper turned around. Behind him was Shadow, someone he didn't expect to see.
"What are you doing here?" Dipper asked.
"I could ask you the same thing," she said, staring through his soul.
"I-" Dipper began, but found he couldn't say anything else. Shadow sighed and shook her head.
"You want to save Pacifica and Mabel, right?" She asked.
"Yes. Are they okay?"
"Pacifica's alright, just a little upset. Mabel's chained up, but I don't believe Bill has done anything to her yet," she explained.
"Oh. Well, can you help me?" Dipper asked.
"Of course. But I can only help you get up there, though I will warn you that coming here all by yourself was a very bad idea."
"I know," Dipper sighed. "But I have to do it."
"Very well," Shadow said, and teleported him away.Mabel's stomach growled. She sighed. She should've gotten something to snack on before she left, but oh well. She couldn't do anything about that now, so instead she looked out the window. To her surprise she saw Dipper and Shadow. Were they talking? Seemed like it. She sighed again and looked at the ground. Dipper shouldn't have come here, especially not alone or without any weapons or knowledge of what might happen. With one last sigh, she drifted off to sleep.
Pacifica woke up and looked out the window. Shadow was there, standing alone, but nothing else. Although she was a bit confused on why Shadow was just standing alone, it didn't bother her that much. What really bothered her was what Bill would do to Mabel now that he had a hold of her. Was he going to torture her? Or was he going to do nothing and torture Pacifica by not telling her anything? From what she gathered from how Bill was, she suspected both. She shook her head and placed it in her hands. Why did she have to make that stupid deal?
