Mabel's phone range. With a sigh, she walked out of the Mystery Shack and grabbed the phone out from her pocket. Jason was calling. She took a deep breath, and answered the call.
"Do you want to hang out today?" Jason asked.
"Sure. Where are we going?" Mabel questioned.
"I was thinking we could go on a walk," Jason answered. "Is that okay with you?"
"Yeah, sure. Where should we meet?" Mabel asked him.
"Oh I'm coming to pick you up. I'm already on my way. If there's anything you need to do, do it now," Jason told her. Mabel nodded.
"Alright. See you soon," she murmured, then hung up the call. With a sigh, she turned around and ran back into the Mystery Shack. She hurried up the stairs and into the attic. She ran past Pacifica, who looked like she was about to say something, but couldn't since Mabel ran into the bathroom. Taking a second to catch her breath, she walked up to the sink. With a sigh, she started to do her hair.
After doing her hair, (and adding a bit of makeup) Mabel walked out of the attic, (again before Pacifica could say anything) and went down the stairs. Just in time too, since Jason knocked on the door. Taking a deep breath, she opened it. Jason walked in, then looked around the room. But he quickly turned his gaze back to Mabel.
"You ready to go?" He asked. Mabel nodded, then looked over her shoulder.
"I'm leaving!" She yelled, then the two of the walked out of the Mystery Shack, closing the door behind them. Mabel didn't say anything at first, but when Jason started to lead her into the forest, she finally spoke up.
"Why are we going into the forest?" She questioned. Jason looked back at her, a smile on his face. But he quickly looked forward again before saying anything. Taking a deep breath, he finally answered.
"You'll see," and left it at that.
