Mabel was crying. She watched as Pacifica fainted and Bill teleported away. Her knees felt weak, and she fell to the grassy floor.
"Mabel!" Dipper called, running over to her and giving her a hug, but Mabel wasn't paying attention. She couldn't believe it. Pacifica helped Bill start Weirdmaggedon, but strangely, she wasn't mad. Instead, she was so upset about losing Pacifica and worried about her to be mad. She wasn't really sure what was happening, but at some point Grunkle Stan picked her up. He said something, but she couldn't hear it. She was completely zoned out and lost in her mind, so she didn't realize anything until she was in her bed. She blinked and looked around. Her face was still wet with tears, but she stopped crying. Instead, she was taking deep breaths. But why? Was it just her body's instincts to calm her down? She wasn't really sure, but eventually she had calmed down a little bit. And when she did, Dipper walked in. He sighed and looked at her.
"Are you okay?" He murmured with a worry filled gaze.
"I-I don't know," Mabel admitted quietly, sitting up. Dipper sighed again.
"I'm so sorry Mabel," he whispered, just loud enough for her to hear.
"It's not your fault," Mabel sniffed, turning away. Dipper didn't say anything else as he walked up to her and gave her a hug. Mabel's eyes started to water again. She hugged him back and dug her face into his chest, bawling.
"Shh, it's okay," he murmured, rubbing circles into her back with his finger. But Mabel continued crying. How could he say that when everything was going wrong?
(A/N: Aww, Dipper's being such a good brother to Mabel. It's not very often where you see an instance where Dipper is acting like the parent or the older sibling, so I think it's cute.)
