Now, the moment of Truth, or at least, part of the truth has arrived. Let's dive in.

"So, what do you think about this knitted gown?" Skye asked and I looked up from my phone to see her holding the blue turtle neck twist knitted gown up fro me to see. I rose my eyebrows at her in question.
"Skye, you are travelling to the UK to see your grandparents for the Christmas, not going for a fashion show." I stated and she shrugged, throwing the gown on the heap of other cloths lying on her sofa.
"Doesn't mean I shouldn't look good." She replied, rolling her eyes at me. "Besides, there are tons of hot British guys around my grandparents side." She wiggled her eyebrows at me while my eyes went wide as saucers.
"You know you have a boyfriend, right?" I asked her and she giggled, waving her hand dismissively.
"Doesn't mean I shouldn't flirt a little." She winked at me and I shook my head at her, looking back at my phone.
School had vacated for Christmas break two weeks ago. The Bamidele's were spending their Christmas in the United Kingdom with Skye and Jamal's paternal grandparents. I learnt that Khalil was going home to Portharcourt to be with his family for Christmas. My family on the other hand were travelling to Ogun state to my maternal grandparents side.
Basically, Jamal and I would be apart for Christmas.
Speaking of Jamal and I, we haven't really spoken since November when I walked out of the health centre. Our conversations have always been bits and pieces. I realized he wasn't yet ready to talk to me about everything yet. I knew he needed the space, so I gave it to him.
Even though it was hurting me.
Now he is leaving and there won't be any chance to speak till he gets back in January.
I tried to occupy my mind, pushing rose thoughts away. I surged through Instagram, looking at posts of teen and adult celebrities. Then I stumbled on his page.
Khalil's page.
