"What do you think the girls are doing right now?" Somadina randomly asked out of nowhere, still sprawled on the bed in just his boxer shorts. I stopped brushing my hair and turned away from the mirror to look at him, my brows raises in question. Mateo didn't even pay him any attention, face buried in his phone, typing away.
"Why are you so bothered about what the girls are doing, Soma?" I had to ask, watching at him as he turned on his tummy and squinted at me. He wasn't wearing his glasses so, I guess he really couldn't see me.
"I don't know?" He drawled out in a question like manner and shrugged. "I mean, make up? Hair do? Probably still having their bath..." He was rambling and I rolled my eyes, turning back to staring at my reflection and started combing my hair again.
"What exactly is wrong with you, this boy?" Mateo finally asked, stealing a glance at Soma for a minute and I chuckled when I saw Soma pout from the mirror, rolling on his side again, then turned on his back. It was obvious, Somadina is restless.
Why? I had absolutely no idea
"I'm sorry." He mumbled and I stopped to take a look at him again. Somadina apologizing wasn't new, yes. But in this context, it was weird because there was actually nothing to apologize about. "I'm actually nervous." He confessed and I exchanged a look with Mateo.
"Because of the dance?" I quickly guessed and he nodded. Mateo let out a sound of realization and nodded, before going back to staring at his phone.
"That makes a lot of sense. You should be nervous." He mumbled, looking up to smirk at Somadina whose mouth hung open in mock shock. I flashed Mateo a mild glare and he shrugged. "What? He seemed rather confident few days ago." He said and I scoffed, looking away from my curly haired idiot of a friend.
"Gee, Mateo. Thank you so much for your support." Soma stated with sarcasm dripping from his voice, rolling his eyes afterwards. Mateo gave him a mock thumbs up in return and I chuckled
"Honestly though," I started, looking at Somadina. "You are actually fine few days ago, you were really such of yourself. What changed?" I asked him.
"The fear of fucking this up for Vanessa." He answered and I nodded, understanding where he was coming from. Soma sighed and continued.
"She out so much effort in this thing, On G. She worked hard to make sure I got the steps, I mean, for once she wasn't exactly aggressive with me. She was very patient. It would be stupid of me if I let all of that, all her efforts go to waste but it makes me so nervous, thinking about it." He rambled. I walked away from the mirror and went to sit down beside him.
"It's okay to be nervous, Somadina." I told him and and he nodded. "Heck, I'm very sure Mateo that is making fun of you is just as nervous as you bare about his performance with Skye, if not more." I casted Mateo a look and he looked at me from his side eye.
