"FIVE DAYS TO GRADUATION!"
Was all Denola Da'silva had to scream for the entire SS3 block became a war zone. Everyone was legit screaming their lungs out, climbing on top of the pavement and acting like they were in the jungle. Some people even went as far as tearing out their note books and text books, throwing the sheets to the air and littering the entire environment.
I honestly began to pity the cleaners that would clean after this mess.
"I can't believe we have five days to Graduation!" Jamal hollered beside me and I threw my head back, laughing. "I will honestly miss this place." He added in a calmer tone, looking around the disorganized area, everyone of our set mates walking around doing one thing or the other.
School allowed us to stop wearing the uniforms, so everyone of us were in mufti, mostly because of people rehearsing for one thing or the other for the Variety night. Chairs and tables in the classes were pulled back to create rehearsal space for everyone. Everywhere was just a frenzy but that's what the final days in highschool was all about.
And we wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
"People are really putting so much energy in the events." I said, and Jamal turned to look at me. "I'm so thankful I'm not part of any committee, else I'd have lost my mind." I stated and he chuckled.
"You and me both on that one. Even Khalil is involved in the social media committee, it's extremely surprising." He chipped and I laughed. We made a turn down the stairs and to the love garden where we knew Skye and Mateo were.
"Well, it's a good thing he is getting involved. Come to think of it, he still hasn't sent me the video of the prom-posal." I teased, watching Jamal's face for any reaction. On cue, he flashed me a fake glare and scoffed.
"Remind me to steal his phone and delete that video before he gets a chance to send it to you." He said and I snorted out a short laugh.
Like I'm going to let that happen.
"Not by a long shot, babe." I blew him a kiss and flashed him a wink before I skipped away, sighting the corner where Skye and Mateo were seated, chuckling when I heard Jamal's loud groan behind me.
I got closer to where Skye and Mateo were and saw that Esosa was with them. Mateo and Esosa were the ones heading the planning committee which is why I understood why Esosa was seated there with the both of them . They have been working to make things perfect from day one.
