A New beginning is upon us 😌. Everything will be okay from here on now. Well, it has to be okay, the book is ending and we have to give the book a happy ending. So yes, everyone is good now. Khalil is getting there though, since everything that happened hit him more than anyone else.

But all in all everything is fine.

"Bloody hypocrites..." Mateo hissed under his breath, literally slamming his phone on the concrete table, I feared it would break.

"After all the insults and derogative words," Vanessa chipped, rolling her eyes comically. "Now they know the true story and that's all they are talking about." She added, letting out a loud hiss after that.

You are probably wondering what we were talking about.

Well, Khalil filled all of us in about what her parents made her do when she was younger, using her to attain the political heights they had gotten before everything that happened on Sunday. Shock doesn't do any justice to what we all felt, or are still filling. It took the grace of God for Jamal not to combust with anger that day.

The "best" part of everything was that after the incident that day, Tolani's father finally came out to confess everything. Only heaven knows what happened that made him do that, but he did. Everything Khalil had told us was true. He had indeed, sold his daughter out for his own selfish needs. Then after the confession, he said he was going to step down from running for the governorship post. That was the highlight of it all.

Every news station in the country, all the blogs carried the news. What then sparked this entire conversation was the fact that all the Trojans began to carry this matter on their head, suddenly feeling bad for Tolani. It annoyed me to my core how hypocritical and shallow minded they were. When she was alive, everyone did nothing but judge her wrongly. Now that she's no more, they are trying to use pitiful attempts to make themselves feel better for judging her wrongly.

Whatever they do now won't bring her back.

"The most annoying ones," Skye's voice jerked me out of my reverie and I turned to look at her. "Are the fools they keep posting Tolani's pictures on social media and hashtagging #JusticeForTolani! Who the fuck does that?" She snapped, hitting her hand on the table.

"You have to calm down." Somadina spoke. "In as much as  this issue is infuriating as fuck, there is nothing we can do about it. People will still talk, they will always have something to say. We just need to ignore." He said.

Words of wisdom coming from Somadina. That's hard to believe.

The others kept talking but I stopped, noticing that Jamal had not spoken for a while. When I turned to him, he was staring off into space, the expression on his face showed that he was deep in thoughts. I reached over and gently pressed a hand to his thigh. He jerked, startled and turned to me, a faraway look in his eyes that got me extremely worried.
