↭JAMAL↭
"Why didn't you tell me that you have started having night mares and panic attacks again?" She asked suddenly, shocking me out of my wits.
"What!"
Who the fuck told her?
"You heard me." She wasn't snapping but I could tell that she was very upset, she had that glint in her eyes. But at this point, I really didn't care if she was upset with me. I just wanted to know who the hell told her my business. I knew it was Skye. Skye wouldn't do that.
Or would she?
"Why have you been keeping this from me?" She asked, her tone laced with hurt. She had a very worried and concerned look on her face and that was the last thing I wanted, for her to worry. That's why I didn't tell her in the first place.
And yet, here she is, worrying.
Who told her?!
"Are you seriously just going to stare at me stone faced and not say something?" Her voice jerked me out of my reverie and I looked at her.
"Who told you?" I asked instead and her worried expression turned into that of shock.
"Are you serious? That's what you are going say?" She asked me incredulously but I didn't pay her any mind. I seriously wanted to know the person that told her because so help me God, that person is definitely getting it from me.
I took a deep breath, trying to calm down and not lash out at anyone, especially Elyon. "Elyon, tell me who told you now." I stated as calmly as I could, my fist clenching and unclenching. She scoffed.
"You were keeping something this big away from me, Jamal. I found out and the only thing you are bothered about is knowing who told me? Are you kidding me?" The edge in her voice was evident now and she didn't even attempt to hide it. I, on the other, was getting very impatient and very angry.
"Who the fück told you, Elyon!" I snapped and she veered back in shock. I have never snapped at Elyon before so I could see why she was surprised. But that was not the issue right now. If she would just tell me who the blabber mouth was.
"Wow." She choked out. "It was Khalil. Are you satisfied now?" She asked, her tone laced with sarcasm. My eyes widened.
Khalil told her?
That asshole!
"He told you?! You went to speak to him about me?! Why the hell of would you do that!" I was yelling now, not caring that people close by might actually be hearing us. Elyon looked at me, shock and disbelief written all over her face.
"You are really asking me why?" She asked me, scoffing immediately after. "Were you going to talk to me? No, Jamal. You were not going to even tell me a fraction of what was going on with you. You keep leaving me in the dark after we promised to be honest with each other."
"I told you I was fine!" I snapped in frustration.
"And you were lying to me!" She retorted. "What was I supposed to do when I was worried sick about you! Skye wasn't going to tell me either. I had to find a way. Do you even know how it feels not knowing what's going on with you, what's happening with you and then you make it worse by lying to my face! Don't you trust me?" She was pained, she was hurt, she was upset.
