Note: I have decided to stop using the banners because of network issues and stuff. It takes a long time to load and sometimes, it doesn't load at all. So, I'm going old school 😎. Writing the POVs.
Enjoy!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I looked at my watch for the umpteenth time since Elyon left this place to use the rest room. It's been almost twenty minute and she wasn't back yet. I sighed, trying to busy myself with staring around, trying to find something that would distract me but the room was just filled with bunch of drunk and horny teenagers.
Typical teenagers.
"Yo, are you okay?" Mateo's voice pierced through my reverie and I looked to my left, at him.
Skye was still seated beside him on his left, her head resting on his shoulder, her fingers sliding through her phone, probably on social media. Soma and Vanessa were on another seat. I couldn't see them clearly but I was certain they were making out.
Yup, horny teenagers.
"What?" I asked him, quite disoriented. He chuckled.
"I was asking if you are okay. Your mind seems so far away." He stated, watching me. I sighed and nodded, looking at my watch again.
"I'm just a bit worried that Elyon isn't back. She's taking a little too long." I replied. Mateo chuckled again.
"It has just been a few minutes. I'm sure she's okay, you know how ladies take too long in the restroom. You are probably worrying over nothing." He said, trying to ease my tension. I took a deep breath, nodding again.
I'm sure I'm just worried for nothing.
"I guess so." I dished him a small smile, trying to calm down.
"I wanted to even ask you." Mateo started and I looked at him. "How are you coping with Khalil being here?" He asked carefully, watching me intently. I shook my head.
"I'm barely coping." I replied truthfully. "I honestly can't stand him. Forget the fact that he is family, the guy isn't welcomed back into my life. Not for whatever reason." I stated sternly.
"Hope the nightmares are not back? We wouldn't want that, especially since he is a major trigger." Mateo said again, his voice calm and careful. I could understand that he was really trying not to press some buttons and I appreciated that.
"It has mainly been flash backs but I do have a fear that it might escalate. So, I have resumed my pills, just for safety precautions." I shrugged and he nodded.
"You know I'm here for you." He told me and I nodded, a small smile spreading across my lips. "Just say the word and I'm right there." He added and my smile widened.
"Thanks bro. I know I can count on you." I replied.
Mateo was basically the only person outside the family that knew all the shit that Khalil made me go through while we were growing up, especially in our early teens. He knew Khalil and I had some sort of bad blood between us and he understood that Khalil coming back meant possible trouble.
Worse than last time.
"We have company." Skye said, alerting us. I looked up and saw none other than Tolani Adeoye walking towards us with a haughty strut. I heaved a deep sigh.
This ought to be interesting. Cue the sarcasm.
Being the host of the party, Tolani didn't disappoint in her outfit. She was slaying a thigh length rose bandeau pointy hem bodycon dress. Her hair was braided in black and pink though she might have to loosen it because school would be resuming on Monday. She had a glass slip on heel. Hate aside, she did look dope.
