"I am a senior now! I have to slay! No body should tell me nonsense!" Skye has been repeating these statements at intervals for the past half hour. I groaned, scratching my temple as I was getting tired of hearing those words.
"Guy! E don do abeg." Vanessa lamented from
where was seated in front of Skye's dressing mirror. The three of us were in Skye's room, getting ready for Tolani's party that had probably started about twenty-five minutes ago. Aunt Zaria was on night duty at the hospital and Uncle Joel had travelled to Osun state for a conference. We wanted to be fashionably late, make an entrance of some sort. All Skye's idea. The boys had already gotten there earlier, though they have been ringing us for a while now, asking us to hurry.
These boys don't know what is going to hit them when we arrive. I smirked at the thought.
"Skye, you have been repeating that statement for the past how many minutes. We know you want to show Mateo pepper, we understand." I stated, my lips turned in a knowing smirk and the tone of my voice teasing. I didn't miss the flush on cheeks, obvious because of her fair skin.
"I am very sure you picked that dress specifically for him." Vanessa chipped in a well, motioning up and down Skye's outfit before going back to doing her make up. I laughed, going to pick my shoes.
"You guys should stop teasing me na." Skye whined, my cheeks flushing a shade deeper.
Skye had a slinky black criss cross knot midi tight dress that clung to her curves in the right places. It was sleeveless with only a strappy sleeve, a dazzling open back and a low cut neck that showed a bit of her cleavage. Her hair was packed in a high pony tail, her face well made up and completed the look with white sneakers.
Yes, she definitely dressed for Mateo and Mateo alone.
"Sha don't do the do tonight." I teased yet advised and She gasped.
"We haven't even talked to that direction yet and I doubt we are. It's going to help him." She stated and Vanessa smirked, ready to dish another teasing remark.
"Not when you are a walking temptation, it's not." She chirped and I burst into another round of laughter while Skye groaned and covered her face in embarrassment.
We were still getting ready when my phone made a ping sound and I picked it up. It was a message from Jamal. He was asking me where we were, stating that the party has started.
"Is that Jamal?" Skye asked, peering over my neck to check what he sent. I quickly hid my phone from her busy body eyes. She looked at me with a smirk.
"What are you hiding? Nudes?" She wiggled her eyebrows goofily at me and I gasped.
"Jesus, Skye! Of course not." I exclaimed, looking at her incredulously. "I just value my privacy. Besides, the guys are waiting for us. We need to hurry up." I stood up from the bed after firing off a quick text to Jamal. Vanessa stood up from the dressed, holding her shoes in her hands.
Vanessa and I were in similar outfits. I was dressed in a white above knee short sleeved tassel V-Neck pull over dress. I let my hair down, my face made up with bright red lipstick and I completed the look with a red designer sneakers I had gotten from the Maldives as my footwear. Vanessa was in a red spaghetti strapped tassel crop top and skirt, her hair in a puffy up do, nude make up and black combat boots.
