"Hero, I-"

"Look who's back bitches!" Killian comes rushing in and interrupts me. He sees us close together and he starts blushing. I feel caught and I take a step back. That's silly because we're both adults but still.

"Oh, I'm sorry," Killian mumbles.

"You don't have to be sorry," I say. "That's silly!"

"Come on," Hero grunts. "Let's go to the living room." He obviously does mind the interruption.

Killian and I follow him. I can tell Killian is feeling bad about his entrance. I don't know what might have happened to be honest. Would we have kissed? I don't want to go there but my mind has other plans. You totally would have kissed him, the voice in the back of my head says. I might have. I have never been able to resist Hero and his accent. The look in his eyes told me he wanted to kiss me too. Aarrgh this whole friends thing is harder than it looks. I totally suck at it.

When we enter the living room Jack and Lizzie are staring at us with curious smiles. No doubt they heard us laughing earlier.

"How did your project go, Kil?" I ask. "Did you survive?"

"I was able to get some sleep in the train so I'm okay," he says and he sticks out his tongue. It makes me giggle.

"I'm starving," Jack announces. "Should we order some food?"

We all start shouting 'yes'.

"Pizza!" I yell.

"God, so bossy," Hero rolls his eyes.

"As if you're not in the mood for pizza," I reply.

"I'm always in the mood for pizza," he says with an earnest voice.

We order our pizzas online and it takes a while for everyone to choose. I'm easy. Pepperoni pizza for life!

"Yikes," I say. "How can you have pineapple on your pizza?"

"Just to annoy you," Killian says and we all laugh again.

"I'm going to get some plates and some drinks," Lizzie says.

I follow her to the kitchen.

"Let me help you missy," I say.

"Thanks."

I take some glasses and some wine, water and cola.

"Things seem to be going well," Lizzie whispers.

I know she's talking about Hero.

"Yes."

"You seem to get along very well," she winks.

"About that," I say.

"Uh oh," Lizzie answers.

"What's the story about our sleeping arrangements?"

Lizzie starts blushing. Ha, I knew it!

"Well, to be honest, we kind of expected that you would be together again after Hero told you the truth so we didn't think you would mind. And if not, it would at least force you to talk to him."

"Lizzie!"

"I'm sorry!" she says. "But come on Charlotte, you loved him so much so it wasn't that crazy to think that you would be together or to think that you might need a nudge to talk to the guy."

"I suppose."

"What exactly happened at the wedding?" she sounds curious.

I know she knows we were missing for a while and I know she saw us talking at the bar. How much does she suspect?

"Shh, not now," I say.

The boys are talking but I would die if they would hear this conversation. I do want to talk to Lizzie about this but not when Hero is in the same room.

The pizza arrives and we all fight for a good spot on the sofa. Lizzie has a place, obviously and Killian nudges me so I fall down and end up on the floor between Jack and Hero.

"You're a mean little man Killian," I say with a dark voice.

This makes the other laugh.

"Okay, should we put on a film?" Hero suggests.

"Oh my god, this totally is like the good old days," Lizzie says. "This makes me so happy."

To our horror she starts crying. We all look at each other with baffled faces.

"Hormones," Jack says in between bites. "She will be fine in a minute."
