Anna sighed sadly at the memory of that day.  She got out of the bath, drying herself off and then getting dressed.  Jason was taking her out that night.  It was going to be just the two of them for the first time in their holiday.  The villa was part of a group which offered a nannying service and they had booked one to look after Maisie for the night.  They were going out to a small restaurant in one of the villages not far away.  It had been highly recommended to them.

She checked her appearance in the mirror.  The creamy coloured sun dress showed off her tan beautifully and made her hair look even darker.  She sprayed some of her favourite perfume into the air and stepped into it as it fell onto her.  Now she was ready.

Jason was waiting for her.  His blue shirt made the colour of his eyes stand out even more and the cream linen trousers he was wearing clung to his hips and backside.  Anna could feel a groan forming in the pit of her stomach.  He looked delicious. His face lit up in a huge smile when he saw her.

"You look fantastic!" he told her, his eyes running over her.  "Really beautiful!"  She looked away as he paid her the compliment, a blush forming on her face.  He wanted to go and wrap his arms around her and hold her to him.

"You're not bad yourself!" she replied trying not to blush too much at his compliment.  "Ready to go then?" she asked, hearing the taxi they had ordered blaring its horn.

The taxi jolted along over the rough roads, making them slide along the seat into each other.  He could smell her perfume in her hair, tempting him to bury his face in it.  He slipped an arm around her to hold her firmly and prevent her from sliding off the seat.  She rolled her eyes and giggled at him, pressing herself closer.

Twenty minutes later they were being shown to their table on the balcony.  They were in a large outside courtyard at the back of the restaurant.  All around them were vines growing over the arches of the giant gazebo that gave them a green canopy for a roof.  They were high up in the hills and could see for miles around in the early evening sunshine.  In the distance they could see the shimmer of the ocean and behind them were the larger hills. Coloured lanterns hung in the vines throwing a soft light over the area.  Large pots of plants were generously scattered around filled with fragrant flowers.  Their scent mingled with the tantalising aromas coming from the kitchen.

Anna looked around as Jason pulled out a chair for her, then took his seat opposite.  She smiled contentedly, breathing in the evening air deeply.

"It smells wonderful doesn't it?" she remarked to Jason.  He was sitting back quietly taking in the scene around them, absorbing it all.  Almost as if he were taking a mental photo of their surroundings.  He glanced over at her as she spoke and nodded, a half smile on his lips.

Anna poured them a glass of cold water as they studied the menu together.  They chose the same dishes and sat back to wait for their food.  She felt so comfortable with him, yet at the same time slightly on edge because of the growing physical attraction that she felt.  She gazed out at the view from the balcony, saying nothing, just like him, soaking it all up.  He leaned forward over the table and covered her hand with his.  At first she just looked at his fingers, so long and slender, gently stroking hers, then slowly raised her eyes to his face.  He sat still with the half smile on his lips.

"I just want to say that I've had the best time ever with you and Maisie" he told her.  "This has been such a good holiday for me.  I hope that you've enjoyed it too.  I feel totally relaxed, like I haven't been for ages.  Thanks," he told her softly as he raised her hand to his lips and kissed her fingers gently.

She felt a tingle run up her arm from his touch, taking her breath away.

"I know what you mean," she replied, trying not to show how he had affected her.  She swallowed hard and smiled back at him.  "I think I need to thank you as well.  I would never have done this without you.  You've done so much for me over these last weeks Jay.  I'll never forget it."   She looked down at the table their fingers still entwined, neither of them wanting to move them away.
