The days before the launch were filled with meetings and interviews once more for the band.  In between they also had to fit in rehearsals for a mini concert where they would sing a selection of songs from the album for invited guests and reporters.

It had been decided that Maisie would stay at home with Amy, Chloe's friend once again looking after her.  Chloe would be attending with Mark as his partner. Amy had babysat for Maisie a few times in the months since Chloe had moved in with Mark and was getting to know the little girl really well now.

Chloe, Sandy and Anna met up at the airport on Friday morning.  They were all flying down to meet up with the guys for the concert that afternoon.  All of them were really looking forward to it and the short flight quickly passed as they talked about it and got to know each other a little better.

Sandy had met Gary a few months earlier and Anna hadn't spent much time with her.  In fact the last time they had spoken had been several weeks ago when she had been trying to get in touch with Howard over a visit he was due to have with Maisie.  All she knew about her was that she was madly in love with Gary and had been very kind to her the afternoon when Howard and Jason had fought.  Perhaps she would get to know her a bit better during this weekend.

Before they knew it they had landed and were on their way out of the small airport getting into a car which had been sent to pick them up to take them to the hotel and then onto the club where the band was performing.

As soon as Anna walked into her room, she could smell the scent of her favourite flowers, left there by Jason, along with a note, telling her that he'd missed her and couldn't wait to see her again.

She smiled as she read it and put the note into her bag.  Quickly she freshened up and changed her outfit, then headed off to meet up with Chloe and Sandy again.  Once more they were taken to their destination in the large black car.  Anna was glad that she didn't have to drive herself there, the traffic was hectic.

As they got out of the car at the club, they were taken to where the guys were all waiting for them.

Jason spotted her as soon as she came into the room and came across to hug her, his face one big beaming smile.

"Hi hun!" he said as he kissed her on the cheek.  Anna blushed with pleasure as he did so.

"Thank you for the flowers, they were lovely Jason," she said as he led her to a table and sat her down, getting her a drink and sitting with her.  Once seated, she glanced around and saw Mark and Gary standing with Sandy and Chloe.  She noticed that there was no sign of Howard.  Jason guessed what she was doing and reached across the table, touching her on the arm.

"It's ok, he's gone to check on something.  Think he's feeling a little nervous and needed a bit of space."

"Oh right," she replied.  "He is ok though?" she knew that Howard tried to hide the nerves that he felt before they went on stage. No matter how often or how many times they performed, all of them suffered in some form or other.  She couldn't help feeling concerned for him.

Jason nodded and smiled.  "Yeah, he's ok.  Just calming down before we go on.  He'll be alright.  Honest." He took hold of her hands and lifted them to his lips kissing them.  She nodded in agreement with him.

Soon it was time for them to take their seats in the audience.  Giving Jason a kiss for luck, Anna and the other girls took their places.  The audience was buzzing with excitement as they waited for the band to appear on the small stage in front of them.

Suddenly the lights went down and then they were there.  All dressed in dark suits and shirts, a spotlight on Gary as he walked into the middle of the stage singing the opening words of 'Greatest Day'.  As each member of the band joined him in the song they too had a light shining just on them.  The audience rose to their feet at the end, applauding loudly just as the girls did.  They noticed the looks and smiles the guys exchanged on stage, as if relieved that it had the approval of their guests.  The rest of the songs received the same reception.  By the end of the performance, it looked as their management was right and they had another successful album.
