The night was proving to be a huge success.  The music became louder and the food was delicious, disappearing fast.  Both sure indications that everyone was enjoying themselves.

They were all up dancing to the music, some slightly the worse for wear but never the less enjoying themselves.

"I'm getting too hot for this," laughed Howard.  "How about we get something from the buffet and a drink?  We can take them outside and cool down a bit."

"Good idea," she shouted back at him above the noise. "Come on!" She grabbed hold of his hand and pulled him after her.

They made their way from the dance floor, Anna going to the bar and Howard going to get them something to eat.  He was ready to go first and told Anna he would see her outside.

Nina smiled to herself from across the room.  This was her chance, she'd have to take it while she could. She got up and started to follow him, but lost sight of him.  Jason was standing alone, sipping his drink and watching Chris dancing.

"Have you seen Howard?" she asked him, still looking around for him.

"Yeah he just headed out to the terrace I think" he told her nodding in the direction he had seen him going.

"Thanks Jason," she smiled and walked off towards the open doors.

Anna had a wait ahead of her and just as she was about to join him, was stopped by Norman the photographer who wanted to know how she had liked the family pictures he had taken for her and Howard.

"You're a beautiful woman," he smiled at her.  "Have you never thought of modelling?  I could put a portfolio together for you if you like," he told her, looking her up and down lecherously.

"Er, no, I'm afraid I'm not interested in modelling.  I prefer to use my brain rather than my body for a living!" she replied, desperate to get away from him.

"Pity that," he mumbled.  He patted his pockets and brought out a card.  "If you change your mind...,"

Anna smiled and took the card from him.  She looked around the room hoping to spy someone to rescue her and luckily was able to catch Gary's eye.  He grinned and understood, coming over to tell her that she was wanted in the other room.

"Thanks for that Gary!  How's waiting for me outside, he'll be dying of thirst by the time I get these drinks to him," she smiled at him.  "I'd better get out there now!"

"Yeah I saw him going over there about ten minutes ago," he laughed at her, "he'll think you've got lost!"

With a final thank you she set off after him, dodging around people to avoid spilling her drinks.

Gary was still laughing when Jason joined him.

"Glad I've got you alone," he said to him seriously.  "There's something I've been wanting to ask you for ages but have never had the chance."

"Oh what's that mate?" asked Gary, taking a look at him and realising that something was bothering Jason.

"Nina and Howard.  I get this feeling that something happened between them a while ago," he said.  "Am I right?"

"How the hell did you figure that out?" asked Gary taken completely off guard.

"Shit so I was right then?" he said, looking around him.  "She was looking for him before and asked if I knew where he was.  Think she headed off towards the garden."

"Oh fuck!" groaned Gary, his hand going to his head.  "Anna's just gone to join him with some drinks.  I hope he wasn't planning anything."

"What, you don't mean that it's still going on do you?" Jason whispered to him, moving towards the edge of the room.
