Reid's POV

**Time skip: 2 weeks**

I look down at my phone to see a message from Derek.

D-Derek, S-Spencer

D: Hey pretty boy. How are you doing today?

S: I'm okay. How are you?

D:Pretty good. I was wondering what your plans are for today?

S:Just got done at my meeting, so not much more for today.

D:How about I come over and we can spend sometime together?

S:Yes. That sounds great. I'll see you in 10.

D:Yes.

I smile, putting away my phone, and turning back to m tea on the counter. After finishing making my tea I sat back on the couch and turned to my open book reading through it.

"Hey. I'm heading out for a little while. I have a job interview." River called out behind me.

"Alright. do you need a ride?" I asked.

"No thank you. I am going to take the bus there and have Oli pick me up after. We're gonna go out for a bite after."

"Alright. Derek is coming over in a little. If you guys are back before he leaves, you should have Oli come in and meet him."

"Sounds good to me. I'll double check with Oli. Hey, don't forget to put a sock on the door." River calls out laughing before closing the door. I chuckled at her and went back to reading my book. After a few minutes I heard a knock on the door. I put away my book and tea answering it.

"Hey babe." I smile giving him a quick kiss, moving aside, allowing him to enter. He walks in and makes his way to my kitchen setting down some bags he had in his hands. I look at them trying to find what was in them.

"No, no, no, pretty boy. Not yet." He pulled me away from the kitchen and to the living room couch. He pulled me into a deep kiss, pulling away to smile at me.

"I missed you." I whispered in his ear.

"I missed you too. It's so nice to see you again. Even though it's only been 2 weeks, it has felt like forever." I nodded in agreement pulling him back to me. He smiled, pulling me into a deep kiss once again. He pulled away, standing, holding his hand out to mine. I took his hand and he lead me to my room. I looked at him and he pushed me to the bed.

**Skip the dead, cause I suck at smut, and uncomfy with it**

We lied in bed, my head on his chest, just laying there. I smiled at the sight and I felt great being there with him. He started playing with my hair and I couldn't help but to smile wider.

"I love you so much." I mumbled out half asleep.

"I love you too pretty boy." He replied patting my shoulder, indicating he needed to get up. I lifted myself up and put my back against the wall. He stood up dressing himself and I watched as he did, smirking at him.

"What's that look for?"

"Nothing, just admiring the view." I replied looking down. He walked over to me, pulling my chin to look at him. He smirked at me and let go and walked out of the room, leaving me alone. I get myself dressed and sat in bed for a little while longer. I looked over at my notebooks and decided to start writing.

"Hey baby boy. What are you still doing in here?" I looked up from my notebook, then over to the clock realizing 20 minutes had past.

"Oh, I didn't realize how much time has past. I was just writing. I'll be out in a minute." I smiled looking back at my notebook, finishing my sentence. I put the book down on my nightstand and walked out with him to the kitchen.

I looked at the table and saw dinner was finished. Baked potatoes. I smiled remembering the first time he made me food. I sat at one end of the table and he sat at the other. We ate in mostly silence, chit chatting here and there.

"You know I remember you making me baked potatoes the first time you asked me out."

"I did."

"So, is there something that you wanted to talk about?"

"No. I just missed you and wanted to make you a nice dinner." I smiled at that and continued eating.

"I missed you too. It's hard not having you here more. I know you have to work, it's just hard."

"It really is. I just hope I can come around more often. Spend more time with you."

"Me too." I replied and we continued eating. After dinner we cleaned up and sat down in the living room turning on a movie. I leaned on Derek cuddling into him. He began playing with my hair once again and I started to drift off to sleep, him not long after.

I was woken up to the sound of the front door unlocking and opening. I looked up to see River and Oli stumble in. I looked at them confused at why they were so late and so unsteady, looking as though they had been drinking.

"Hey, you were out late." I said looking up at them. Removing myself from Derek's arms. He woke up and looked at me then to River, who I was staring at.

"Oh, uh.. we got caught up in dinner." She slurred out her words. I could tell she had been drinking. I looked over at Oli and he stayed quiet, looking down at his feet. I sighed and walked over to them.

"Have you been drinking?" I questioned smelling Rivers breath.

"Uh, we had a drink or two. It's no big deal. Really." She replied looking over to Oli laughing. I rolled my eyes and walked them both over to the couch with the help of Derek. I sighed again looking between them.

"How much did you drink?" I asked

"Just a few drinks." River answered. I looked down at Oli and saw fresh track marks on his arms. I grabbed his arm tightly looking between them once again.

"What did you take?" I asked. They stared at each other, not saying anything. I could see that Oli was in bad shape. He couldn't talk and he just stared. I picked up my phone and turned my attention back to River.

"I'm calling 9-1-1. What did he take?" I asked again dialing the ambulance.

"I don't know. I think it was Heroin."

"What did you take?"

"Just some Oxy for my pain. I'm hurting. It was nothing." I rolled my eyes and moved to the kitchen to talk to the 9-1-1 operator.

I answered all the questions and waited for them to come for both Oli and River. I walked back into the room and stood in front of them waiting for help to arrive. After the paramedic's arrived they took them both to the hospital. I then sat on the couch and allowed my tears to fall. Derek put his hand on my shoulder trying to comfort me. I pulled away and stood up.

"I'm sorry. I have to go make sure that they are okay."

"It's all good. Let me take you."

"Okay." I mumbled out and followed to the car. We drove in silence, but my thoughts were loud. I cried most of the way to the hospital. When we got there a nurse took us back to Oli's room where River was sitting in a wheelchair hook to an IV. I sat in the chair opposite of River.

"Why?" I asked her. She looked down and ignored me. I stood and faced both her and Oli.

"Look, I want to help you. You have 2 choices. One, leave here and go back to your old life and continue using, no living with me, no clean life. Or two, you leave here, go back to rehab, get clean then come stay with me again. Those are your only two choices." With that, I left.

I walked over to Derek and pulled him into a tight hug. I grabbed his hand and walked out, back to the car.

"Where do we go from here?" He asked me.

"Come home with me." I whispered. He took my hand and started the drive home.
