Reid's POV

I stood in the doorway of my now empty room talking in all that has happened in the past 30 days, and the past year. Remembering and reliving all that has made me who I am now. I walked out closing my door behind me, making my way into the common room. I sit down next to River and smiled at her.

"Are you ready to do this?" I asked.

"Very. I am ready to face the real world and have a great friend to do it with." She smiled grabbing my arm, giving it s small squeeze.

"Spencer, River, do you have all of your stuff?" The nurse asked behind us. We both nodded and stood to meet her. "Alright. Lets get going. You'll have some paperwork to fill out and we will get you both processed out."

We followed her down to a small room where she handed us both a folder full of paper and asked us to fill them out. We both sat in silence and filled out the paper work. I finished fairly quickly and decided to finish my letter to the team. After about another 20 minutes the nurse returned and picked up our paper work, walking us out to the waiting room I sat in before being admitted.

"Hey pretty boy." Derek called from behind me. I smiled and pulled him into a tight hug kissing him on my way out.

"Hey babe. This is the girl I told you about, River. River, this is Derek, my boyfriend." I introduced them. Derek shook her hand and smiled.

"I've heard so much about you. It's nice to finally meet you." River replied chuckling.

"It's nice to meet you too River. Are you guys ready to get going?" I asked looking at from River to me. I nodded my head and we made our way out to the car.

The ride to my apartment was fairly uneventful. We talked for a little while and listened to some music. When we got to my apartment Derek walked us up and sat on the couch while I got River set up in the spare bedroom.

"Alright, I know there's not much here, but we can get you some stuff to put in here. Make it a little more comfortable. Do you have anything that you would like to bring here?"

"Thank you, this is more than enough. And no, the only things that I have is what is in my bags." She looked down at the end.

"That's okay. We can figure something out. The bathroom is through there, towels are above the toilet, and there is extra shampoo and conditioner under the sink. Let me know if you need anything. I'll leave you to get settled. Feel free to come out to the living room anytime you feel." I smiled closing the door behind me. I walked over to the couch and sat next to Derek.

"How are you feeling baby boy?"

"I'm not sure. I mean, I am happy to be home, and I'm happy to be out, but I am scared that things are going to go wrong..." I trailed off at the end thinking.

"I can understand that. But you got so much support here. I believe in you. You got this, you are so much stronger than you think. I love you baby boy."

"I love you too. Thank you. Um.. I'm gonna go to the bathroom. I'll be right back." I said walking to the bathroom. I closed and locked the bathroom door. I walked over to the sink and looked in the mirror. Running my hands through my hair, I sigh and opened the medicine cabinet looking through the contents. I pulled out my small jewelry box that was in the back, opening it. I sighed at the contents of the box. Placing it on the counter I unlocked the door and called for Derek.

"Babe, come here please."

"Hey is everything al..." he trailed off at the end looking at the box on the counter. He looked up at me with tears in his eyes. I looked past him to see River standing in the hallway looking at the contents.
