After playing soccer with Joia, I felt a bit restless. He was acting pretty weird at first. Especially when I asked his name. He was acting like he was some player. And he was very good at soccer too.

I need to go do research on these players when I get back to my room.

I walked into my room and turned my laptop on. Just as I was about to take a seat on my bed, there was a knock on the door. I rushed to the door and opened it.

"Adi!" David yelled with a big smile.

"Hey David!" I said smiling back. "What's up?"

"Well I think you might've forgotten, but remember this morning, when Thiago and I invited you to the pool with us." He said.

I put my hand on my forehead in loss of memory. I would go, but I really need to research these guys so I wouldn't be the idiot of the pack again. I need to know everyone so I don't make a fool of myself. "Do you mind if I take a rain check on that?"

He frowned. "Why?"

"Well, I kind of really need to Google you guys because I don't want to look like I don't know anyone here." I said timidly. I could feel my face heat up. I was embarrassed.

David bursted out laughing. I glared at him. I was about to shut the door on him but he stopped me. "Okay, okay I'm sorry. But seriously, why would you need to do that when I could just introduce you to everyone."

My eyes lit up and I looked at him while smiling. "Actually?" I said not believing him.

He nodded. I smiled and went for a hug. He hugged me back and I then pulled away. "Alright now will you just go out on a bikini or something so we can leave." He asked.

I nodded. "Yeah." I invited him in. "Just wait here, I'm going to go change." He nodded and sat down on my bed.

I rushed to my suitcase and pulled out a mint fringe bikini top with black bikini bottoms. I decided to put a floral kimono over it as a coverup. I went to the bathroom and changed.

After that I came out of the bathroom and grabbed a towel, my phone and keys to my room. I put on a pair of flipflops. "Okay, let's go." I said to David.

He nodded and stood up. "Aren't you going to take your necklace off?" He questioned.

I looked down at my locket and then looked back up at him. "Nope. I value it. It was my mother's." He nodded sympatheticly knowing not to asked more questions.

"Let's hit the pool!" David said. I laughed and followed him out of my room.

At the pool there were many, many gorgeous Brazilian guys swimming around with their shirts off and reveling their very much built bodies. Some of the guys saw David and came up to us.

"David! O que você demorou tanto?" One of them said. They were talking in portuguese, I think, so obviously I didn't understand. I'm Italian, so I'm pretty clueless. Now that's not something new. Ever since I got here, I've been clueless. The guy was tall and skinny, but he was built.

"Oscar! Eu estava apenas começando essa menina do quarto dela. Thiago e eu a convidei para a piscina com a gente hoje, porque ela é nova." David said.

I tapped him on the shoulder. He looked at me with a what face. "David, I hope you know I don't understand what you're saying."

He laughed. "My bad. Oscar, this is Adriana. She's interning for our medic team." He said.

I looked at Oscar and smiled. "Hi." I said.

"Olà, I'm Oscar. I play midfielder for CBF." He said.

"It's nice to meet you." I said smiling.

"So, David, do you know when Neymar's coming?" He asked David. Again, Neymar. I really wanted to see who this Neymar guy was.

"I don't know man, he wasn't feeling well this morning. But we did tell him that we were going to be here." David said.

Oscar nodded.

After that a bunch of the other guys came up to us.

"Maldita ela é gostosa!" One of them said.

"Tão bonita." Another one said.

"Quem é ela?" Two of them asked.

David and Oscar started laughing. I don't get it...what's so funny? Ugh not again. I'm clueless. Again.

"Adriana this is Hulk, Dani, Diego and Marcelo." David said. I smiled at them and said nice to meet you. We were all engrossed into our conversations when we heard a voice.

"What's going on?" A voice said.

I turned around and for the second time today, my eyes were met with greenish hazel ones. It was Joia and he was shirtless. Saying it was hot would be a major understatement. He had many tattoos but obviously I wasn't going to read them as that would be inappropriate; looking at his body and checking him out.

"Hey Joia." I said.

"Who?" Thiago said walking over.

Joia looked a bit restless. I turned to Thiago and said, "Oh, this is Joia. I met him when I was taking a walk. He works here!" I said. They looked a bit confused.

"O que ela está falando cara?" David said. AGAIN WITH THE PORTUGUESE. don't get me wrong, the language is beautiful, when you understand it...

"Eu a conheci esta manhã e ela não sabia quem eu era, então eu só fui junto com ele." Joia said. They all started giving him a wtf face. God, I really wonder what they are saying. "Venha quando foi a última vez que você viu alguém que não sabe quem você é?" He said.

"Ela é uma garota legal, não faça isso com ela. Ela não merece isso." Oscar said.

If I were to see my face right now, it would look very, very confused.

"Não se preocupe, eu vou lhe dizer." Joia said.

Okay now I was getting annoyed. Before any of them could start talking again I said, "Oh mio dio, voi ragazzi siete così fottutamente fastidioso. Possiamo solo andare in piscina?"

They all looked at me like I was crazy. I rolled my eyes. "What? No hablas italiano?" I said trying to speak Portuguese. But to be honest I think I just spoke horrid Spanish that my friends taught me at Stanford.

They laughed. "Okay first of all, sorry about that, and what you just spoke, that was Spanish. Second, I didn't know you were Italian. And third what did you even say?" David asked.

"I said 'oh my god, you guys are so fucking annoying, can we just go swim?'" I said proudly.

"Wow, Einstein swears too?" David said.

"Oh shut up! Now what did you guys say?" I asked. For some odd reason they all looked at Joia, who looked very anxious.

"We were talking about the time of day." Joia said.

"Yeah, sure." I said rolling my eyes. It was obvious they didn't want me to know. It's okay.

Hanging by the pool was fun but kind of awkward as well. The guys seemed to be getting along with Joia really well. They're treating him as he's their friend and not some staff member. But then again, that's exactly what they're doing to me.

We were hanging out when Joia came up to where I was and said, "Hey."
