It was the morning of the day we leave for São Paulo. The first game of the World Cup was in 3 days. Everyone's nerves were intact. Everyone was nervous but no one dared show it. We had to be there earlier to attend press conferences and a gala.

It was nearing the start of a war. A war that had to be won no matter what. It was a matter of pride. A matter of respect. And a matter of giving back. Giving back to those who have supported. Giving back to the country. To Brazil.

Right now, I was in my room getting ready. Since I was with the medical team, I did have to be dressed in the medical jacket but before wearing that, I decided to wear my tights from PINK and my grey loose tank top. I wore my Aztec printed Nike frees.

I ain't got time for dressing well. It was too early for this and we didn't get dismissed until 10 pm yesterday. That left us with one hour to eat. Thus leaving me with about 2 hours of sleep. This reminds me of my University days. Which wasn't so long ago.

I kept my makeup really light. I just wore waterproof mascara and my BB cream. I also tied this yellow, green and blue ribbon, that was given to everyone as Brazil merchandise, to my wrist.

I left my wavy, brown hair down, but I remembered to put a hair tie on my wrist for when we were at the game and I needed to tie my hair up. I then grabbed my MK tote that had everything I needed, along with my suitcase with all my belongings. I remembered to prepare it the night before as we were travelling a long way and we were not coming back here.

After that I put on my Brazil jacket I grabbed my things and headed out to the front where mostly likely the rest of the team was meeting.

"Dia!" I heard a yell.

I could be blind and I would know who would be calling me.

"No. You don't get to talk. It's too early for this." I said looking at him then looking down at my watch that read 1:30 am. Man we were leaving early for this.

He came over and gave me a hug. I whined. "Aw, did Dia wake up on the wrong side of the bed?"

"Get off me." I shrugged him off. "And no I did not. I just didn't get sleep. I don't know how you can be so happy let alone function at this hour."

He laughed making me roll my eyes.

"Where is everyone?" I asked as I only saw that staff was here right now. Oh yeah and David and I.

"Well they should be coming any minute now as the bus does leave at 2:30 am." He explained.

I yawned and nodded.

"Bom dia, meu amor." I heard.

I looked up and saw Ashley behind David. She gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

Yup. David and Ashley are together. They're a thing. I envy them. They're so amazing together. And they have a child that is amazing.

"You look beautiful." He said to her and gave her a kiss on her cheek.

She giggled.

I looked at them disgusted. "No. Nada. No way. You guys are not allowed to be couple-y in the crack of dawn."

"Aw did someone wake up on the-"

"No I did not!" I said.

She and David laughed. I rolled my eyes.

"You know what you need?" David asked.

"Grande two sugar, no cream, non-fat, de-caff latte? Yes please." I said.
