When I Met You

Part One: C34 Another Shot.

The next morning I woke up early and decided to call my dad. I haven't talked to him much after getting here and truthfully, I missed him.

I grabbed my phone and dialled his number. After about 3 rings he picked up.

"Sweetheart?" I heard his voice. He sounded tired and sleepy.

"Oh! I'm sorry dad. Did I wake you up? I didn't mean to!" I apologized.

"Oh no, my love. You can call me anytime." He said. "Now tell me. What's up?"

I sighed as I remember the events of last night. How horrible my date with Neymar went.

"Not much. We have an early practice in 3 hours." I said.

"Why are you awake so early?"

"I don't know. I guess I couldn't sleep." I said in a small voice.

"You okay?" He asked.

I thought about it. Was I okay? Did Neymar still like me? But I wasn't going to tell my dad. He'd just be super worried about it.

"I'm fine dad. Look I'll call you later when you're awake. Why don't you get sleep." I said. "Oh and did you take your medicine?"

"Yes I did, honey." He said.

I smiled. "Okay dad. Take care. I'll talk to you soon."

With that I hung up and decided to go and dress.

I looked at the time and saw that there were still 3 hours, well a bit less now, till practice.

Well practice was going to be in the same place so I decided why not just drive there.

So I grabbed my stuff and made my way downstairs.

When I got down I saw coach sitting on the couches drinking coffee.

When he saw me he smiled and called me over.

"Adriana!" He called.

I went over. "Oh morning coach. I was just going to go to the stadium."

"So early?" He asked.

"I woke up early." I said. "I couldn't go back to sleep so might as well go to the stadium and review so stuff. And set stuff up also."

"Why don't I come with you?" He suggested and stood up. "You can update me on player profiles and I can see if you still can play soccer." He teased.

I smiled. "Sure. Why not?" I suggested. "We can take my car."

"Alright then. I'll just call the other 3 coaches and we can head off." He said.
