When I Met You

Part One: C36 Strength.

Brazil vs Columbia

I was gathering all my stuff in preparation for today's important game. We were doing very well and like every game we've played, this one is just as important.

My phone started to ring. I looked at the caller ID to see that it was Tara.

"Hey!" I said.

"Hey, love. What's up?" She asked.

I quickly put my stuff in my purse and put it by the door so I wouldn't forget it.

"I'm getting all my stuff together. We have a game today so we need to leave soon." I said.

"Oh yes. Chris came home early to watch it. He's taking care of Xander right now." She started laughing. "You should see them. They're both pimped out in Brazil wear."

I heard knocking at my door as I laughed. "That sounds adorable." The knocking continued.

"It is. I'll send you a picture. They're so cute."

I opened the door to see Neymar standing there. "Hey babe-"

My eyes widened and I put a finger to my lips to tell him to stop talking.

"Adriana? Who's with you? Who called you babe?" Tara asked.

"Me? What? I think you're hearing things. I'm alone in my room right now." I said quickly.

He came into my room and shut the door. He dropped his stuff at the door beside my stuff.

"Adriana. You're lying. Tell me the truth." Tara said.

"Oh Tara I have to go now. I promise I'll call you back later. Bye. Love you and send my love to Xander, Chris and dad." I hung up and huffed.

"Sweetheart." I heard. I looked over at Neymar who was looking at me with an amused face.

I glared at him. "Stop it. That was so weird." I frowned and walked to the couch and sat down. "God knows what she's think now."

"Why does it matter?" He asked. He was now sitting beside me on the couch.

"It matters, Neymar." I said.

"Are you ashamed of me?" He asked with a slight frown.

I sighed. "No. God no."

He sighed and grabbed my hand in his. He entwined our fingers.

"Then what is it?" He asked.

"What would people think if they found out that Neymar Jr was dating some random girl who isn't a model nor and actress?" I said. "People will give you a hard time. The media will give you a hard time. I really don't want to be the reason for that, Neymar."

"Okay first of all, when people find out they'll think that Neymar Jr is dating a girl who is insanely beautiful, intelligent and incredibly kind." He said softly. "And as for the media, if you knew who I was then you'll know that they give me a hard time no matter what I do. I've stopped caring about what they post about me."
