The next morning I woke up to the same massaging on my temples. It felt really nice. I averted my gaze up and saw Neymar leaning against the headboard of the bed with his eyes closed. Well I couldn't see a lot because I wasn't wearing my contacts or glasses for this matter. But from what I could see from my squinted vision, his face looked very tired. My head was in his lap. He was absentmindedly massaging my temples. I smiled a bit. I started thinking, was he doing this all night?
I stirred around a little trying to get up and fond my glasses without waking him up but me being stupidious, I woke him up.
His eyes opened and the rubbing in my temples stopped. He looked down at me with his hazel greens and just looked at me. I couldn't help but look back. His eyes truely were breathtaking.
After a moment he spoke. "How are you feeling?" He asked softly while stroking my head.
"Fine, but I can't see." I said sitting up on his bed.
"Oh, here." He said handing me my glasses. I took them and put them on.
Another phase of silence fell.
"You weren't kidding when you said you get horrible migraines." He said.
I closed my eyes and sighed. "Alright, go ahead. Ask your real question." I said.
"Why did you come here?" He asked.
"I wanted to talk." I said timidly and looked down at my lap.
"You?" He said. "Wanted to talk? With me?" He said in disbelief.
I groaned. "Do I have to write it out for you?" I said annoyed.
"What did you want to talk about?" He asked.
Seriously. "Oh you know I just wanted to talk about the weather." I said sarcastically.
"Really?" He said excited.
Are we actually having this conversation? How stupid can this guy be?
"NO!" I yelled. "Stupid jerkface." I muttered under my breath.
"Jerkface?" He said in an amused tone.
"Yeah that's you. Now can we please just get to the point?" I said annoyed.
"Shouldn't that be my line, since you are the one that came to me." He said. Okay, clearly this guy wasn't taking this seriously.
"I'm done." I put my hands up in surrender and got off the bed.
"No wait! Adriana!" He said.
I turned to look at him with my arms crossed over my chest.
"I'm sorry." He said. "You can talk now."
I sighed and said, "I'm sorry. I may have over reacted and pulled a girl friend reaction. You wanted realness and normality, I totally understand. It's just my pet peeve is dishonesty so it kind of hurt. But yeah...you know what I mean..." I said.
"Wait. Did you just forgive me?" He asked.
"Yup." I said.
"Wow." He said.
"Yup." I said.
The same silence came again.
After a while I decided to break the silence. I walked over to the door and said, "I'm just going to go now." I opened the door. "Alright bye." I said shutting it behind me before I even got a reply.
Well then.
I rushed back to my room and quickly unlocked it.
I got in and firstly went to my closet and pulled out a white flowy tank, ripped denim jean shorts and obviously my undergarments.
I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth, then showered. After that I put my contacts in and put on very light make up.
I then got my phone and decided to go to Ashley's room and then go for breakfast so I can take my meds.
I walked to her room and knocked on the door. She opened it and surprisingly she was dressed. It was only 7:00 am.
"You're actually awake." I said.
"Shut up and come in. You have much to explain child." She said sternly.
I sighed and walked in. I sat down on one end of the couch and she sat on the other end.
"Speak." She said.
"Nothing happened, if that's what you're trying to hint at." I said running a hand through my hair. Which by the way was left down.
"Did you talk to him?" She asked.
"Yes." I said.
"And..." She said hinting for me to continue.
"I forgave him." I answered.
"That's great! Now you guys can-" She started but I cut her off.
"No way am I going to get with him. He's Neymar, not Joia. Joia was nice, this guy's just annoying and cocky." I said irritated.
"That's how Neymar is, Adriana." She said. "Trust me, he is a very genuine guy."
"I don't care. It's really awkward. I can't even handle being alone in a room with him without feeling out of place and uncomfortable. And plus, he doesn't like me that way." I said.
"I'll do anything for your forgiveness. You told me he said that to you didn't he?" She said.
"So..."
"So? That means that he cares. He cares about what your opinion on him is. He cares about the fact that you like him or resent him." She said.
"I don't know. I don't care. I just want to be done with this. Can we please go to breakfast, I need to take my meds." I said avoiding the topic.
She sighed and smiled. "Let's go hun!" She said.
I stood up and walked towards the door. "I swear you are like a mother sometimes." I said to her as I stepped out of her room.
She laughed following me and shutting her door. "Aw, Adriana. You will always be my child." She said.
I laughed with her. We continued talking until we made it to the cafeteria.
Some of the guys were already there. I saw Thiago, Marcelo, Hulk, Oscar and David sitting at a table.
David saw me and waved. "Bom dia, Dia!" He said laughing.
"Wow David. Very original." I said sarcastically.
He laughed along but that stopped when he saw Ashley. His face tensed up and so did Ashley's. These two really need to talk. It's been a year already!
"I'm going to go get food." I said to Ashley who looked like she was spacing out. I looked at her and nudged her.
"I'm sorry what?" She said.
"Breakfast?" I said.
She nodded and we went to Margie who was very happy to see us. She served us the food and we it. Then we walked over to a table in the quest to sit down and eat but Marcelo called us over to sit with them.
There were 3 seats left. One beside Marcelo, one on one side of David and another on the the other side of David. Marcelo wanted me to sit next to him so the only seats left were the ones on either side of David. And the only person heft to be seated was Ashley.
I sat down beside Marcelo and Ashley hesitantly sat beside David. She closed her eyes and sighed.
I wonder what was going to happen now.
