"Take a right here." Ashley said.

Ashley was being the navigator and telling me where to go. She told me that she was taking me to a good place that has good food.

I took the right and we were now in downtown Teresópolis. It looked very much like back home in Toronto but it was more live in a sense. I mean, it was 9 something and everyone looked so wideawake. I parked my car on the side of the street, apparently that was fine because we just wanted to get the food and go. We decided on eating in my room.

Ashley led me to a fastfood place that was apparently very popular in Brazil. Obviously, she was the one who ordered for the pair of us as I didn't know anything.

I paid for my food and she paid for her's. They handed us two brown paper bags that the food was placed in and we headed back to my car.

Within 20 minutes we were back. Right now we were in my room eating on the couch and talking.

"So?" She asked.

"It's really good!" I said taking another bite of the food.

"Alright, now tell me what happened thus morning?" She asked.

"You know, I can ask you the same question. What's up with you and David?" I asked taking a sip of my water.

Her face tensed up and she put her food on the table. She cleared her throat and looked down in her lap playing with her fingers. "So David and I used to...um...date. About two years ago." She said softly.

My eyes widened. I actually did not expect that.

"Everything was going fine and we were dating for 2 years. We loved each other." She said still looking down. "But...um...one day, I was going to a PSG game, the team that David plays for, in Paris. David left early because he needed to meet up with the team to warm up and stuff, so I was going to head over an hour later." She said and then heavily sighed. "Keyword here being was."

"You didn't go?" I asked her. She shook her head and lookd up trying to stop tears from escaping her eyes. "Ashley," I said putting my hand on hers, "you don't have to tell me."

"It's okay." She cleared her throat again while still looking up. "I didn't go because I got a post. The post had a letter and a few pictures." She paused for a second. "The letter was telling me about the pictures. The pictures were of David and...um...another girl." She said whispering the last part, and then the tears escaped.

I quickly moved over so that I was sitting beside her. I started rubbing her back to calm her down.

"It'll be okay." I said reassuring her.

"Adriana, I loved him. I felt like a fool that day and today, I still feel like a fool because...I still love him." She said whipping away the tears that feel. She laughed coldly and said, "Look at me, I'm so pathetic. Crying over the past." She said.

I hugged her for a while trying to sooth her. After that I pulled away and asked, "What did you do after that?"

"Well, David was very sad and confused as to why I wasn't at the game. He texted me before the game and even during halftime but I didn't answer. The only thing I did text him was a goodbye and then I left before he came home." She said.

"What do you mean by left?" I asked.

"A week after I left him, I came to Brazil to work with charities. It was the same week I found out I was pregnant." She said while looking down.

"Pregnant?" I said softly.

She nodded.

"Wait what about the child? Where is she or he?"
