When I Met You

Part One: C13 Talk.

Thiago and I walked to the entrance of the center and there we found most of the team dressed up in matching suits. I didn't know they could get dressed up as well.

I saw Ashley and I walked up to her with Thiago.

"Adriana, how are you?" She asked.

"Fine." I lied again.

"Dia!" I heard voice. I didn't even have to turn around to figure out who it was. "How are you?" He asked.

"Can you guys stop asking me that! I'm fine. Perfectly fine. As fine as you can be after you have a joke get pulled on you. As fine as you can be after you get lied to you by someone you..you-forget it." I said wiping a tear from my cheek.

David pulled me in for a hug. "You need to talk to him." He whispered.

I sighed into is shoulder. "Do I have to?" I asked more to myself.

"You need closure. You need to hear his reason. After that the choice is yours." He whispered back and pulled away. "Will you do it?" He asked softly.

I closed my eyes and nodded slowly. He smiled lightly and so did Thiago. Ashley was just glaring at David. I walked over to her and whispered, "He's a really good friend. Really has a way with words."

"Sure." She said shrugged.

"Ashley we need to-" David started

"Look, coach is here!" Ashley said cutting him off. Seriously what was going on?

I looked over at coach who was talking to Neymar who was looking at me. I felt myself internally breaking but I told myself not to be vulnerable.

"Alright guys. I'm impressed. You all look very presentable. As for transportation, the bus will not be coming today. I know all of you have your cars here so you'll be either taking your own car or carpooling. You can figure it out. For those of you driving don't forget to pick up directions here," He said pointing at the front desk, "the time is now 8:00 am, conference starts at 2:00 pm, drive is about 2 hours and so when we get there we will be meeting for brunch at a restaurant near the conference place. Alright lets get going, I expect everyone to meet there." He said leaving the building.

"Dia, now's your chance. You and Neymar can drive together." David said. What? No way was I spending 2 hours with a lying jerk face.

"David! 2 hours." I said. "And why would I do that when I have my own car!"

David smiled smugly. "Alright, suit yourself." He said, then he looked at Thiago. "Come with me."

Something was up.

I picked up the directions and walked outside to my car. I guess I was riding along because Ashley was taking her own car.

I took my keys out of my bag and unlocked my car. As I was about to get in I heard, "Wait!" I turned around and saw Neymar waking towards me. I rolled my eyes and quickly opened to door to my car and stepped in. I was about to close it but he stopped me.

Without looking at him I said, "What do you want now?"

"The guys took my car." He said.

"Great." I said reaching for the door to close it but again he stopped me. I groaned. "What do you want me to do about it?" I snapped at him.

"Everyone is gone and there's no way for me to go." He said softly.

A part of me really wanted to say 'come with me'. But that part was now done with. "Walk. Call a cab." I said. "You seriously can't expect me to spend 2 whole hours with you." I mumbled the last part.
