"Well..." David said signalling me to tell him what I said.
"I kind of snapped at him." I said timidly.
"Adriana!" He said.
"Okay David you seriously can't be singling me out on this when he was the one who lied to me." I snapped.
"I'm sorry Dia, but I think you should consider what he said." He replied. "I mean come on, he even said that he is willing to do whatever for your forgiveness."
I sighed and ran and hand through my hair.
"Look, I know what Neymar did was a total dick move and believe me when I say that I was very pissed off at him for lying to you. That wasn't just me. It was the other guys as well." He said
"But I gave him the chance to explain. What more does he want from me?" I said frustrated.
David sighed. "He wants you to forgive him. He wants things to go back to normal." He said.
"Well clearly they can't because if there's 2 things in this world I can't stand, it's liars and disrespectfulness. He did both." I said.
"Dia, I'm not going to force you. If this is your decision to not listen to him and ignore him then I'm with you." He said softly and then smiled.
"Thanks." I said. "So you excited for the world cup?"
His eyes suddenly lit up. Even though my focus was mainly on the road, I could tell he was excited. "That's not even a question! Yes I'm excited! A win in our dirt!" He said.
I laughed at him statement. One thing was for sure about these Brazilians. They were cocky.
The ride back to Granja Comary was pretty normal. David and I talked here and there. We listened to the radio a bit as well.
Once we were back, I parked my car and got out. While walking to the center I looked at David and said, "I will meet you outside, I'm going to go get changed."
"Alright." He said.
We walked in and I went to my room. I opened it and got changed back into the clothes I was wearing this morning. After taking my meds, I grabbed my laptop and phone. Then I headed out to the grounds.
Once I made it to the grounds I went over to the sidelines to where the other's were setting up. The boys who were here were all on the field doing laps.
"Hi Adriana. Did you read the player profiles?" Juan asked.
"Yes I did." I answered.
"That's good. Any questions?" He asked.
"I did have one question, if you don't mind me asking, how current are these?" I asked. I needed to know this because if they were at least 6-12 months old, having them updated would help.
"These are about 7 months old." He said. "Why do you ask?"
"Well, I was thinking that we should maybe update them. You know, a lot can change in 7 months and by updating these we will have accurate results that we can work off of." I said.
"Adriana is right." Jonathan said. "We were thinking of doing that anyways. But now that you have brought up the pros, we will do it right now."
"Yes. We have to keep these guys in good shape and improve them where they must improve." Ashley said.
I nodded.
"What's going on guys?" Coach Scolari said walking to us.
"Well, we have decided to hook the players up to our sensors and get a profile update. This way we will know what they have gained, or lost, in the last 7 months." Jonathan said.
