"Connor?" Kyle murmured, "CONNOR?!"
Kyle ran over to Connor and slid down to the ground. He was whispering something under his breath that I couldn't hear.
"Oh god, oh god ..." He held up one of Conner's limp arms out of shock and disbelief, "No, no, no, no, no. NO!"
What was Kyle freaking out about? I thought they hated each other. All of the sudden, I remembered the huge gash in my arm. Blood was dripping everywhere.
"Oh my lord-" I said to myself, looking down at the mess I had made.
Zane ran over to me and grabbed my arm, "Are you okay?"
"Yeah," I dragged him with me to the small bathroom that was in the corner of the hospital room, "These cuts aren't though."
Zane shut the door behind us and locked it. I crouched down and started ravaging through the little storage space beneath the sink.
"Hydrogen, hydrogen, hydrogen ..." I muttered to myself as I savaged through the drawer.
Hydrogen peroxide and bandages. I kept my eyes peeled for either of those.
"That was impressive," Zane stated, gazing at me, "How did you manage to pull that one off?"
I chuckled, "I don't even know."
Finally, I found hydrogen peroxide and bandages.
I held them up in front of Zane, and his eyes widened.
"Should I go first?" I asked him.
"No," He insisted, "I'll do it."
"Alright," I said.
I handed Zane a small towel to squeeze to deal with the pain and positioned myself to try my best to clean the wound.
"You ready?" I wondered.
"Go for it." He told me, gripping the towel.
I took the washcloth soaked in hydrogen peroxide and dabbed his cut with it. I watched as he winced a few times, but he was fine. I wiped all of the dried blood off of his arm, and wrapped his wound with a few bandages. I told him he was done.
"Thank you." He smiled at me, "Does it hurt?"
"Does what hurt?" I asked.
"Your cheek." He slightly lifted my chin.
"Oh yeah-" I had completely forgotten about that.
Maybe it was his eyes that had distracted me from it. Any level of pain could be taken away with just a small glance from Zane Lennons.
"Its not as bad as it looks," I responded, staring at myself in the mirror, "I promise."
"You're not fooling anyone, Rae." He chuckled, picking up the bottle of hydrogen peroxide.
He dabbed a new washcloth with the liquid, and told me to prepare myself.
"I'm sorry if I somehow mess this up." He told me.
"I'm not worried at all." I gave him a smile.

"He's gonna be so mad." Kyle told us, slightly kicking Connor's limp leg.
"So what?" Zane mocked, "Since when do we care?"
"Well you should. I mean, what if he finds you guys again ... or something worse ..." Kyle trailed off.
