"No, Jessica, I am NOT wearing that." I practically yelled.
Jessica was sitting on the edge of my bed holding a bikini that was practically nothing.
"Why not? You would look so hot in it!" She reasoned.
"Are you seriously right now? Are you even thinking straight?" I exclaimed, digging through my closet to find a swimsuit.
"Rae, I brought this all the way from home for YOU TO WEAR IT! Now put it on!" She demanded.
I looked at her dead in the eyes, "No."
We had plans to go to a waterpark with Zane and Nick, and I knew that they were outside, waiting in their car. I was not going to wear that.
"Yes!" She squealed.
"NO." I told her sternly.
I finally managed to find a swimsuit. It was a black one piece with a small cutout in the back.
"This should work." I murmured.
Jessica stared at the swimsuit in horror.
"You are not wearing that. Rae, don't make a fool of yourself!" Jessica screamed.
"What do you mean, make a fool of myself?" I asked her.
"What do I mean? I mean this is one of your one days where you get to show off!" She told me.
"I fully disagree," I laughed, "I think that this is one of your few days to show how modest you are. You know, your swimsuit says a lot about you."
She was speechless. I smirked at her. I made my way to the bathroom to change into my swimsuit.
Once I walked back into my room, I saw Jessica applying waterproof mascara to her eyelashes.
"Want some?" She asked me.
I thought about it, "Sure, why not?"
She handed the tube of mascara, "You know, that swimsuit actually isn't really that bad. Somehow your managing to pull it off."
"Thank you." I smiled.
We gathered our towels, sunscreen, sunglasses, and sandals. We stuffed everything in a bag. I slipped a pair of shorts over my swimsuit.
Our feet stomped down the wooden stairs, and we headed towards the front door.
"WHAT ARE YOU WEARING?" I heard Mary yell from the kitchen.
We both froze. Jessica looked over at me in fear. Here we go again.
"See ya!" I exclaimed, resting my hand on the doorknob.
"No, young lady you stop right there." Kevin declared, walking into the living room with his arms crossed across his chest.
Mary followed him in, "Your not leaving the house in that."
At that point, Jessica's mouth was hanging open.
"Yeah ... yeah I am, it's a swimsuit ..." I said.
"No your not, in fact ... your grounded." Mary told me with a smirk plastered on her face.
Perfect.
"What? Why? What did I do?" I asked.
"You have been disrespecting us since the second you got home. You need to learn that your actions have consequences." Kevin barked.
The room was suddenly full of tension.
"Ok, no. That is so not cool!" Jessica whined.
I glanced over at her, signaling her to stop. Kevin and Mary were glaring at her. I knew this was not going to end well.
