Nick and I were shoved back out into the waiting room. Apparently, the two guests allowed into the hospital rooms are only allowed thirty minutes at the most to visit with the patients.
Pathetic.
Once we were pushed into that disgusting, small, and smelly room, the secretary kept looking Nick and I up and down.
Suspicion. One of the oddest feelings in the world. Sometimes useful, but most times ... hurtful. No matter what the circumstances were, the feeling of being suspicious is always strange.
After talking with Zane, and figuring out the whole situation, I was starting to feel a little bit better. Although, just knowing that Jessica was alone with Victoria and Ashley was making me sick.
The waiting room chairs were becoming more and more uncomfortable by the second. Of course, I was wedged in between Connor and Kyle. That wasn't my choice, it was more Connor's.
All I knew was that I needed to get out of that chair. Between random people's coughing, little kid's complaining, and Connor trying to hold my hand and telling me to play along with it, I couldn't take it anymore.
"Connor." I said, twiddling my thumbs.
"What?" He asked staring at something across the room.
"I need to go to the bathroom." I lied.
"You think I'm gonna believe that?" He scuffed.
"You think I won't make a scene and start screaming and yelling?" I barked at him.
"She's got a point, Connor." Kyle chimed in.
He rolled his eyes and glared and Kyle, "Well don't you know everything?"
Instead of wasting my time for any longer, I just stood up myself, and strutted over to the bathrooms. I didn't look back or anything. Who said I needed his permission for everything?
If Connor thought this was going to be some kind of walk in the park for him, he was wrong. If I was gonna go out, I wouldn't go out without a fight.

The hours went bye slower then they should have, which wasn't helping anything. After a while, I became bored. Very bored. I had been staring at the same stuff for a long period of time. All of that time allowed me to examine my surroundings. Every few minutes the ceiling fan in the left corner would flicker a couple times. And about every 45 minutes, a middle aged man in a dark green sweater and jeans would get up and go talk to some girl on the other side of the room.
Once in a while, I would glance over at Kyle's phone that was being used almost 100% of the time, just to see the time.
It was 9:47 at night. God, we had been that hospital for a long time.
I hadn't been able to visit Zane for a couple hours because apparently I had, reached my limit of visits. Whatever that meant.
Without asking, I got up and went to the bathroom. Was Connor going to be mad? Probably. Did I care? Absolutely not.
Once I reached the bathroom, I locked myself in the last stall all the way on the other side of the room. When I was inside, I stared up at the ceiling.
From the last time I was in the restroom, I remember seeing a drop ceiling. Those were the type that had the tiles that you could easily push up. That meant you could travel around without anyone knowing.
I had only seen it done in movies. Action movies to be exact. At that point, I had run out of options. I knew I seriously needed to see Zane.
Without thinking, I got up on the toilet seat, and pushed up one of the tiles. In my mind, I didn't actually think I would be doing this ... but I was. There was no turning back.
