Sixty-three

"I like you, Kim Seohyun."

As soon as those words left his mouth, my eyes widened as my breathing stopped. I couldn't move due to the shock and I couldn't even feel my heart beat- what?

"W-What?" I stammered, backing away slightly due to the actual shock that entered my system all of a sudden.

Jungkook kept quiet and looked down. I stared at him in shock and in disbelief because I didn't know that someone who traumatized me as a child, likes me. I swallowed deeply as I closed my eyes for a second.

"J-Jungkook... I-"

"Seohyun-ah!"

I turn my head to see Suzy and Chungha rushing up to me. As soon as they saw Jungkook and I standing in front of each other, they both frowned and they tilted their head in confusion.

Suzy glared at Jungkook, while Chungha pretended he wasn't there. Jungkook's face was blank as he looked at the two of them, and back at me- who was still stunned until now.

"Uh, hi." Suzy greeted, rolling her eyes at Jungkook, who didn't even bother to reply.

"We have to go! Everyone is waiting for you!"

"What?" I gasped, turning my full attention to Suzy, ignoring my rapidly, beating heart. Suzy nodded as she took my hand and dragged me away from the balcony.

I turn my head to look at Jungkook, who just looked at me, looking like he just hadn't told me anything. I took a deep breath before looking at Suzy, who was guiding me down the hallway.

"W-Wait." I paused in my steps, causing them to stop too and look at me in confusion and in worry. "What? Why are they waiting for me?"

"You are the sweetheart princess."

My eyes widened as I looked at Suzy in shock, she blinked at me before she nudged her head to the door, and we continued walking down the stairs and proceeding to walk into the main hall.

"W-What?" I gasped, "How-"

"They voted for you." She explained. "And, that is why everyone is looking for you. Almost the entire level was looking for you, to be honest."

"What took you so long?" Chungha asked.

"I lost my way because there weren't any signs present in the hallways, so I got lost." I explained, blushing in embarrassment.

"Stupid hallway." Chungha grumbled.

Suzy then opened the main door hall, and everyone turned their heads to me, including Mr. Lee and the emcee who were on the stage, waiting for me.

"Well, hello Miss. Kim Seohyun." The emcee greeted, "We have been waiting for your arrival on the stage, but you disappeared all of a sudden, and we are glad that you have returned."

I blushed at the words and how everyone was staring at me as I rose my dress a bit with my hands to help me up the stage without tripping- because if I tripped, then I will never show my face again.

Once I got onto the stage, I couldn't see anyone because of the bright, flashing lights. I then turned to Mr. Lee and the emcee, Mr. Lee walked towards me and placed a gold crown onto my head.

I slightly arranged it, before a certificate was also given to me. I stood up straight as Mr. Lee and the emcee stood on either side of me, and we all smiled for the camera- another bright flash shocking my eyes.

"Now, for our sweetheart prince." The emcee spoke as he looked at an envelope, that had the sweetheart prince's name inside. I clutched onto the bouquet of red roses which was also give to me.
