As soon as I arrived at school, there were tons of posters on the wall. I took a deep breath as I scanned one of the posters: Clubs. My eyes widened. The clubs will be starting in two days and I haven't chosen a club yet. I pursed my lips.
"Hyunnie!" I heard someone call.
I turned around to see Ji-Eun and Suzy walking to me. I gave them a small smile. They both returned the smile as they stopped in front of me. Ji-Eun held folders in her arms, while Suzy had textbooks in hers.
"Have you chosen your club yet?" Suzy asked.
I didn't answer. My mind was going over what clubs I could join. Singing? I'm not a good singer. Dancing? I'm not a dancer. Sports was my only option, but there are different types of clubs, I have no idea which sport to choose from.
"I guess that's a no." Ji-Eun spoke.
"I'm sorry." I apologized.
"No, no, you're fine." Ji-Eun replied. "I myself had a bit of trouble choosing which sport I should choose, but, I could say that playing with small balls are kind of my thing."
I laughed a bit. "What?" She asked.
"Like I said, you'll only find it dirty if you think dirty." Suzy spoke. "But, I guess, it's kind of funny if you think about it."
Ji-Eun kept quiet as she went over what she had said. Her cheeks blushed up in realization as she covered her mouth with her mouth. Suzy burst into laughter, while I pursed my lips to not laugh out loud.
"Anyways." Ji-Eun spoke. "Since you're great in swimming, why don't you join the swimming club? I'm sure you'd love it."
"Yeah." Suzy agreed.
"I guess so." I said. "I mean, I guess that is kind of the only thing I'm good at, I'm not good at anything else."
"Are you serious?" Ji-Eun asked. "What about art and videography? I mean, before, you said you love art and like taking videos of nature and all."
"I said that?" I asked, blinking.
"Yes." They both replied.
I giggled. "I must've forgot."
"You must've." Suzy said with a laugh. "Later at lunch time or at homeroom period, you could go to the office, ask for a club information slip, and write down the needed information."
"Right." I spoke. "I might do it later at lunch, because, I still have things to do later, and I might do them during the homeroom period."
"No worries." Ji-Eun answered. "We'll go with you to my dad's office, then we could just help you with all the things you'll need to know."
"Thank you." I answered.
At least I'm not alone.
❖ ❖ ❖
Never mind. Forgot what I said earlier, Ji-Eun and Suzy were filled with things to do, which means that I have to go on my own. Ji-Eun had a lot of meetings to go to, while Suzy had a group project to work on.
I sighed. No, I'm not mad nor sad as to why they both couldn't help me. I blinked as I made my way to the principal's office. The halls were quiet again because everyone was in the cafeteria, which meant there were only a few students wandering around the halls.
"Hey, Seohyun! Wait up!"
I paused in my tracks. I turned around to see our class president, Mi-Reum. I tilted my head as I saw her walking up towards me. I gave her a small smile as she returned a bigger smile.
