It's currently 11:50 PM- ten minutes 'til New Year, and I am honestly so excited. You see, this entire year has been so stressful and all, and a lot of things have happened this year, and I'm glad that we are moving onward to a new year.

I sighed as a took a piece of popcorn on the table beside me and popped it into my mouth. I was standing on Suzy's balcony. I could see small fireworks in the sky, which caused me to smile softly.

It's a New Year in eight minutes. I heard footsteps behind me, I turned my head to look, and see the three stumbling towards me. I giggled as I felt Suzy hug me from behind.

"Why you so serious?" Suzy asked.

"Am not." I declined. "Just thinking."

"About who?" Chungha asked. "Your boyfriend?"

I blushed, "N-No. Just, you know, us moving onto a new year, because we've had a lot of drama this year." I reasoned.

"Hm, true." Ji-Eun agreed.

"We've had enough drama this year." Suzy said.

"Ya'll did." Chungha added. "Not me, I just came here recently- but it would be a lie if I said I wasn't enjoying where I am now. I love it here."

"Same here." I muttered.

We all then faced the sky to see people down below already preparing for the New Year. I sighed as I leaned my elbow against the railing, letting the cool wind brush past me.

"Hey, what time is it?"

"Two minutes left." Ji-Eun answered.

I stood up straight before I fished out my phone, scrolling through the contacts, and saw Dad's contact. I decided to type in as soon as possible:

"Hi, Dad! I know this was sent two minutes before New Year, but Happy New Year!

I hope for this new year to be warm and welcoming. I love you so so much, and I just thank you for always being there for me.

Please tell Taehyung and Namjoon I said hi.

I love you! Happy New Year!"

I pressed 'send', and I looked at the time on my phone to see it was 11:59 PM. I was about to lock my phone, but Suzy and Chungha's shouts caught me off guard.

"Yah! Kim Seohyun! Come! Hurry!"

I immediately placed my phone in my pocket and rushed towards them. I looked at Ji-Eun's watch, to see we have fifteen seconds left before New Year strikes.

"10, 9, 8, 7, 6,

5! 4! 3!"

This it it.

"2!"

Welcome, New Year.

"1! Happy New Year!" They shouted.

At the exact same time, fireworks burst into the air. I watched in awe as different colored fireworks blew up in the air, the sound of it crackling echoing through my ears.

It's finally a new year. I thought as I saw Suzy and Chungha hugging. Ji-Eun was laughing at them, while I just giggled before looking back at the fireworks in the sky, lighting up the night sky.

I watched as I took out my phone, immediately going to the camera app and starting a video. I started recording the surroundings around me (including Suzy wheezing and Chungha gasping for air).
